Responsibilities:
● Assist with daily drafting, copyediting and posting stories from our daily news hour and from our archives to
Democracy Now!
's social media channels.
● Help monitor social media and other sources for breaking news or other materials that could become part of ongoing coverage. This may include pitching story ideas and possible guests.
● Identify areas for innovation and improvement, as well as ways to enrich
Democracy Now!
's coverage based on your areas of interest and outside experience.
● Assist with monthly reporting and analytics, identifying trends and ways to better engage the audience.
● Assist with promoting special programming, events and fundraising campaigns, as needed.

Qualifications:
● 2-3 years of experience with social media and digital journalism.
● Familiarity with news writing and AP style.
● Avid news consumer on social media and beyond.
● Basic image and video editing experience. Design experience is a plus.

Nature and Scope
DASNY provides financing and construction services to public and private universities, not-for-profit healthcare facilities and other institutions that serve the public good. DASNY is divided into five major sub-divisions: Executive Direction, Public Finance and Portfolio Monitoring, Construction Services, Counsel, Finance & Information Services. The Public Finance and Portfolio Monitoring division is the focal point for DASNY financings. Primary Purpose
Under general supervision, serves in a temporary capacity as a DASNY fellow for a municipal finance project or projects. The fellow also participates in a seminar series covering a variety of DASNY business topics. The Public Finance Fellow will be placed at DASNY headquarters located in Albany, NY for the first six-month term, and the location of the participating financial institution for the second six-month term.
Essential Functions
Perform and review detailed financial analysis and financial calculations.
Assist in the production of Official Statements.
Assist in the preparation and/or review of bond issues including drafting staff reports and reviewing financial statements.
Review and maintain data in DASNY's portfolio monitoring databases and payment tracking systems; perform periodic review and/or reconciliations to ensure accuracy of data.
Prepare monitoring reports of clients' financial and program performance.
Discuss and recommend actions concerning fiscal problems uncovered by review of financial statements, special reporting, site visits and payment performance.
Prepare credit analysis for new financings.
Evaluate financial impact and prepare recommendations based on findings for requests of changes under mortgages, such as the sale or leasing of property, working capital loans and easements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing and Communications Fellow work will include, but not be limited to, producing social media content which may involve videography and video editing; conducting research related to marketing and communications; producing written content for print and online audiences, interviewing grantees and donors; and archiving content. The Fellow should have excellent writing, proofreading, and research skills; a commitment to detail and accuracy; strong organizational skills; and an ability to work both independently and as a team member. The Fellow will work under the supervision of the marketing and communications team.
COMPENSATION
Fellowships pay is $25 an hour. The position is on-site at our New York office, and we provide several remote options (holiday remote week, August remote month, monthly remote days, etc.).
Fellows are eligible for paid federal holidays and state-mandated safe/sick leave. Fellows also receive pay for the week when The Trust is closed (August 31 to September 4 2026).

Primary Responsibilities:
The NY Policy Fellow reports to the Northeastern Regional Director and will contribute to building Young Invincibles' New York network, campaigns, and partnerships. Primary duties include working with partner organizations, coalitions, and our young adult network to build support for our 2026 state higher education research, policies, legislation, and consumer education. Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to:
Teaching: In their first year in the program, teaching fellows teach two sections of the same class; in their second and final year, they teach three sections and may have two different preps. Fellows meet weekly with a mentor teacher and receive regular classroom observations and feedback on their teaching. They also meet weekly with a course-level coordinator, and should expect a highly collaborative environment in which they craft lesson plans, develop assessments, and provide grades and feedback to their students.
Faculty Duties: Fellows are expected to keep accurate records of attendance and grades as required by the school; compose student comments and progress reports as assigned; attend departmental, faculty, and all-school meetings; and participate in professional development opportunities provided by the school. Fellows should be available to support students and collaborate with adults within their department throughout the academic school day.
Residential: Fellows are expected to live on campus and be affiliated with a residential dormitory. As part of their compensation plan, fellows are asked to carry out the duties and responsibilities of residential faculty. One night per-week and up to ten weekends per-year will be spent working in the dorm, along with several weekends on-duty.
Co-curricular: Fellows will participate in a co-curricular commitment within our program such as coaching one season of a sport, advising a student club, etc.
Communication: Fellows are expected to communicate efficiently and in a timely manner with colleagues, students, students' advisors, parents, and/or residential faculty in a professional manner.
