Fellowship Community company history timeline

1988

Fellowship Community, which opened in 1988, is one of about six “continuing care retirement” communities in the Lehigh Valley.

1989

In 1989, the Covenant Fellowship of Presbyterians and Presbyterians United for Biblical Concerns merged to form Presbyterians for Renewal (PFR)--a broad based advocacy and ministry organization.

2003

Upon completion of Fellowship Manor, the Fellowship Home in Nazareth was converted to a personal care center and was subsequently sold in 2003, the same year in which Fellowship Terrace was constructed on the Whitehall campus.

2009

The other Regions followed and beginning in 2009 there have been breakfasts at all four Regional meetings as well as the annual meeting in Milwaukee.

2014

In 2014, these two organizations blended the best of their ministries together to form The Fellowship Community.

The most recent campus expansion was done in 2014, with the construction of Fellowship Villa which houses 64 personal care beds; Brooke Ridge Apartments, 12 independent living apartments; and the Zentz Community Center.

2018

McMahon replaced Zentz, who retired in July 2018 due to illness; he died Oct.
