National Accounts Manager for Lighting
Job Summary:
We are seeking a multifaceted and results-driven National Accounts Manager for Lighting that can develop, grow and lead our sales efforts in multiple channels with Ferguson.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for calling on and developing strategic Ferguson partnerships, driving sales growth, and ensuring effective profitable programs through various sales channels. Position requires effective communication and high collaboration within the organization. The goal is to develop programs that generate sales from all Ferguson Channels!
Location: This is a Remote role or Hybrid if you live in Newport News, VA or Atlanta, GA areas, per Company Policy
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Ferguson Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to enhance market penetration and revenue growth. Role will call on all Ferguson channels. An ideal candidate has a long list of established relationships and contacts within Ferguson.
Drive revenue through execution of category growth initiatives.
Develop key downstream relationships with field district leaders in 250+ Ferguson showrooms and residential builder teams
Lead, motivate and mentor category and brand training with Independent, direct, and OBBP sales teams
Collaborate with internal departments, highlighted by category management and channel, to assure easy to do business with
Shapes the development and implementation of departmental plans through milestones and targets for the sales teams or branches within an assigned geographical area or market.
Develops and drives incremental business opportunities by creating strategic customer relationships with key influencers.
Collaborate on the development and implementation of recommending of display and product strategy to optimize sales.
Leverage revenue opportunities with additional business such as FFS project work.
Analyzes data to measure performance, amplifying activities that are successful
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and target accounts.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with category management, channel partners and key influencers.
Ability to create and develop Partnership programs and agreements that secure long term business arrangements.
Conduct regular meetings and training sessions to ensure all influencers are well-informed about product offerings.
Sales Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance metrics across all Ferguson channels.
Work with outside sales agencies and regional sales managers to generate customer opportunities.
Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns tailored for showroom and distributor partners.
Collaboration within the entire organization with all functional departments including but not limited to Product development, Finance, credit, marketing, customer service and operations on a weekly basis.
Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.
Prepare regular reports on channel performance, trends, competitive positioning and budget adherence.
Implement a category strategy, based on business needs.
Review quarterly category business plans based on detailed analysis of previous results and market trends.
Travel 50% - 60% of time
Position reports into the Vice President of Sales

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
5+ years of experience within Ferguson or sales within the manufacturing industry dealing with Ferguson.
5+ years of working with Lighting showrooms and or Electrical distributors.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of building successful partnerships and driving sales growth.
Analytical mentality with problem-solving abilities.
Ability to develop and deliver training and presentations.

**Responsibilities**
+ Manage the overall efforts to analyze and enhance Ferguson's position in the marketplace to influence the agencies, owners, and specifiers of civil sitework solutions and gain/grow acceptance of the technologies and products offered by Ferguson.
+ Increase industry awareness of the Ferguson Geo/Stormwater products through the attendance and participation in tradeshows, conferences, meetings, and presentations.
+ Prepare and present technical presentations throughout the assigned geography.
+ Research and understand local green infrastructure codes to build a targeted sales strategy for municipalities and developers.
+ Make visits to end users, engineering firms, and contractors to support project opportunities and to expand awareness of the Ferguson products within the industry.
+ Coordinate and manage projects through the specification process in conjunction with the Regional Design Engineer/Technical Designer.
+ Support the national growth initiatives of the Geosynthetics and Stormwater Management team.
+ Work with Ferguson outside sales team to assist contractors and municipalities with installation and maintenance practices of green infrastructure technologies to include pre-bid, pre-construction meetings, and post-construction meetings.
+ Co-manage sales revenues in conjunction with the Geo Storm Associate (GSA) responsible for the same geography along with the ESS Manager, the Sales Manager and/or Senior Sales Manager, and the key vendor partner team members.
+ Provide management timely feedback on activities related to pending projects and sales, including tracking the pipeline of generated projects.
**Qualifications**
+ Candidate must live in Texas
+ Civil Engineering degree or Engineering license, preferred
+ 3+ years' experience with innovative products in the Geosynthetics and Stormwater Management space, preferred
+ Prior technical writing experience, including proposals, emails, and submittals, required

Job Summary:
The Import/Export Specialist is responsible to ensure Ferguson Divisions are following Customs Laws and Regulations of imported/exported merchandise. This position is also responsible for the accurate classification of merchandise and customs clearance of all Ferguson Divisions imported product. This includes a duty exposure of over $60 million and compliance with all U.S. Government programs and regulations to ensure timely delivery of merchandise. This position will liaise with logistics and other internal functional groups, external service providers, vendors, regulatory agencies, and customs brokers to ensure that product flow meets the demands of the regulatory law ordinances to avoid risks that may result in fines and penalties to the organization.
This position provides analytical, research and organizational support related to customs and trade compliance to further the Company's efforts on new and existing product development, vendor selection and risk management. This position identifies and manages compliance risks and recommends opportunities to improve workflows.
As an overview, Ferguson annually imports over $435MM of merchandise out of 52 unique ports across 17 countries in Asia, Europe and South America, processes over 5,000 US Customs entries and moves over 12,000 containers worth over $40MM in freight spend.
Primary Functions:
Oversees, directs and maintains overall Customs Compliance Procedures to ensure all Ferguson Divisions are operating standard processes related to entry release of merchandise and has knowledge of all areas of the U.S. Customs Regulations, including the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Section Notes, researches Customs binding rulings, and Export Regulations.
Monitors regulatory and legislative changes. Communicates the changes internally as well as change processes to follow new regulations and laws.

Overall responsibility for implementing and managing all Customs & Border Protection programs such as corporate security procedures for C-TPAT Trade Compliance.
Administer Customs training programs to Ferguson associates that include working across internal departments; Risk Management, Product Safety and Testing, Ferguson Global Asia. Sourcing, Accounting, Product Development, Distribution, and Logistics, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferred
3+ years of related experience in International Trade and Compliance; or equivalent combination of training, education or experience.
Previous experience with export compliance, foreign classification and managing CBP relationships strongly preferred.
Experience with Integration Point platforms a plus.
Customs broker license strongly preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated experience with document audits and database design, management, and reporting
Demonstrated technical writing, document control or standards management experience
Ability to use sound judgment to make effective decisions within context of compliance and be able to support decisions with facts and details

Responsibilities
Work actively to grow existing and develop new tools and design work to service the design community
Provide training and development for team members
Support the national growth initiatives of the Geosynthetics and Stormwater Management team
Attend coordination meetings and conferences, as required
Provide technical support to engineers, landscape architects, and municipalities for multiple projects over a wide geography.
Provide concept drawings, from technical layout assistance to submittal development.
Assist the design community in hydrologic modeling
Coordinate and manage projects through the specification process in conjunction with the Regional Product Specialist
Coordinate and manage projects with the CAD design team
Actively grow existing and develop new connections within the design community
Qualifications
3+ years of Civil Project Design experience, required
Civil Engineering degree or Engineering license, preferred
High level of knowledge of AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and other hydrologic modelling software, required
Prior technical writing experience, including proposals, emails, and design submittals, required
Thorough knowledge and understanding of typical permitting processes
Experience with innovative products in the Geosynthetics and Stormwater Management space, preferred
Strong computer proficiency including use of Microsoft applications and navigating multiple software systems, required
Basic reporting experience using Excel, including sorting, filtering, and data compilation, required
Demonstrated relationship building, customer service, and interpersonal skills, required
Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to balance multiple, urgent requests
Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
