Ferguson is currently seeking an individual to fill an immediate need for a **Business Development Manager - Hospitality** to drive our Hospitality MRO business.
This position can be located in NC, SC, GA or Fl. 50% travel will be required throughout NC, SC, GA and Fl.
**Responsibilities**
+ Partner with FFS (Facilities Supply) business group leadership and Regional Directors to develop and implement business plans for MRO products and sales
+ Represent the company at client and industry events, which can occur during non-standard business hours (evenings and weekends)
+ Conduct research and analysis of business opportunities, consistent with the organization's long range and strategic plans
+ Evaluate future geographic expansion opportunities and measure success of new market entry
+ Collaborate on execution plans for markets in alignment with the FFS Hospitality strategy
+ Planning and preparation of business proposals and make recommendations to senior management
+ Work closely with Ferguson's National Accounts and Territory Managers to assist in driving growth
+ Act as liaison between Category Management and the branches / field
+ Partner with Category Management to evaluate and select vendors, expand current offerings and continuously evaluate channel options
+ Lead all aspects of the development of key projects and is accountable for the successful closure of business deals
+ Responsible for the overall development, implementation and progress of strategic business targets
+ Develop new processes to meet project needs, and for designing projects to suit the financial and operating criteria of a project
+ Prepare documents and materials (for example, reports, presentations, information packages) for meetings and discussions with potential clients and business partners so that the information provided is accurate and appropriate for external distribution
+ Maintain contact with the key decision makers internally and externally
+ May assist with special analysis in areas such as operational efficiency, market penetration and profitability
**Qualifications**
+ 2+ years' of business development experience is preferred, hospitality industry experience in MRO products is strongly preferred
+ Bachelor's Degree, however, equivalent work experience will also be considered
+ Proven track record of attaining maximum sales results through successful interaction with established customers and new prospects
+ Passion for excellent customer service and a strive to exceed sales targets
+ Outstanding negotiating, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
+ Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
+ Good eye for business and high integrity
+ Ability to make effective presentations and project recommendations
+ Valid driver's license required, role requires regular travel to customer HQ or jobsite locations as well as participation in customer/vendor lunch and learn sessions as well as customer events or trade shows
+ Proficient use of technology to drive business results, ability to adjust and ramp up on new software programs quickly (Microsoft Office 365, Power BI, Salesforce CRM, Oracle ERP, etc.)

* Provides leadership and input for pricing proposals and strategic plans for large customer accounts
* Supervises sales trends, market dynamics, product performance results and customer preferences
* Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products and services, and to provide sales support
* Review operational records and reports to project sales and profitability
* Submit short and long-term sales plans and prepare sales strategies using available marketing programs to reach designated targets
* Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies, and guidelines to the management team
* Engage and collaborate with Ferguson's Intelligent Utility Solutions and Utility Infrastructure teams building partnerships with municipal clients, providing subject matter expertise, pursuing a consultative approach to identify areas of need when technology solutions can supplement beyond the water meter
Qualifications
* 5+ years of relevant experience leading a technology customer-facing team
* Prior knowledge of Waterworks Metering products and/or programs preferred
* Familiarity with markets and business units within assigned geography is a plus
* Desire to be a hard-working leader, mentor and motivator of individuals and teams
* Ability to analyze data, implement plans, and deliver effective presentations
* Experience defining customer needs and providing solutions
* Ability to lead complex and sensitive negotiations, challenging renewal discussions, and creative contracting
* Ability to coach and upskill team
* Constructive and empathetic communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must
* Proficient Excel and PDF skills

* Pay Range:
* $7,331.40 - $16,023.70
* Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
* This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
