Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Warehouse Associate.
**Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and some overtime as needed.**
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate heavy motorize material handling equipment in a safe manner
+ Accurately pull and prepare orders for shipment
+ Receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material
+ Coordinate the removal and replacement of worn components
+ Effectively put items away and receive them in WMS (Warehouse Management System)
+ Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
**Qualifications**
+ A background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is preferred
+ Product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn it
+ General computer skills for basic data entry
+ Forklift Operator experience is strongly preferred
+ Requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions and temperatures
+ Ability to carry objects that are up to 50 lbs by hand and 50 lbs or more by using equipment

Responsibilities:
Able to perform basic appliance installation and possess the desire to learn custom appliance installations - training provided.
Accurate handling and installation of basic gas and electric household appliances such as washers, dryers, ranges, and refrigerators.
Ensures the installed appliances are damage free, accurately installed according to manufacturer's specifications and are fully functioning.
Interact expertly and courteously with builders, designers and on-site customers - you take care of a vast array of customers.
Attend company paid installation training seminars and certifications to stay up-to-date on all product changes.
Be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications:

Tracking customer activity and trends

Annually, create a listing of at least five prospecting accounts in order to support the branch growth targets established. Conduct business reviews on all top (twenty-five) accounts in the first quarter of each year. Document their needs and build a strategy to meet their needs.
Through internal/external training, maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets. Work with product managers and vendors on field issues that includes new products, high failure rates, large bid opportunities and competitive pricing.
Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner by meeting established sales and revenue goals.

Time permitting - promote monthly flyers and special promotions by calling customers to make them aware of these promotions in order to enhance counter sales.
Alert immediate supervisor when showroom sales are observed to be brisk so that additional staff can be added to counter to avert long waiting times for customers.
Perform other duties as requested in order to maintain our high level of customer service through timely and effective teamwork.

Understand the shipping documents that are associated with the merchandise for each delivery and have accurate directions to each delivery destination.
Review shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy.
Unload correct merchandise from the truck and place it where the receiving party wants it. Obtain legible signature for all merchandise delivered per Company policy and procedure.
Collect and secure outstanding payments for all cash sale deliveries prior to releasing the material to the customer.
Work with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
Load the truck at other locations with merchandise. This includes merchandise picked up at vendor locations, returned by customers, and purchased from other wholesalers.
Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses discovered in the course of making deliveries.
Inspect the truck and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to departure from the Hajoca location. Keep truck clean of debris in cab and body.
Advise management of any mechanical problems with the truck. At the end of the workday, complete the Driver's Daily Vehicle Inspection Report when driving a delivery vehicle with a gross vehicle weight (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs. or more if a defect or deficiency is found.
At the end of the workday, remove keys from the truck and store keys in the approved location.

Qualifications

Warehouse and or forklift experience is desired.
Appliance lift experience is a plus.
Must be able to multi-task and work within daily deadlines.

Receives product into the warehouse by unloading trucks, using a forklift, pallet-jack, electric pallet-jack, or by hand.

Services customers' needs at Will Call Counter by providing friendly, accurate and prompt fulfillment of orders.
Resolves problems or issues by working cooperatively and professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
Maintains and exceeds department standards for accuracy and efficiency.
Maintains a safe work environment by working in a safe manner, following current Warehouse safety rules, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean work area where cardboard, paper, and plastic debris are disposed of properly.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested for the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse.
Position requirements:
