POSITION DESCRIPTION In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the dispatcher is responsible for receiving and disseminating information concerning complaints, incidents, and accidents; reporting discrepancies and malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate agencies; maintaining a computer-aided dispatch log; completing incident reports; controlling the radio net; dispatching patrols; serving as the Law Enforcement Agency Data System (LEADS) terminal operator; issuing student/staff identification cards and parking permits; and handling other department generated paperwork.
