Overview
Teaching Associates (TAs) typically are responsible for providing classroom and/or laboratory instruction, making assignments to students, preparing course materials, administering examinations, assessing student performance, tutoring students and determining course grades. Also, incumbents may assist faculty with field experience, supervision, simulation exercises and/or research projects. Students applying for TA positions must be currently enrolled in the graduate program of the department in which they are applying. Degree-seeking graduate students who are enrolled in interdisciplinary degree programs may be hired as TAs for departments that comprise their interdisciplinary programs. Academic Student Employees may not concurrently hold a faculty or staff position. Students with assignments in more than one student classification (i.e., Graduate Assistant, Instructional Student Assistant, and Student Assistant) are restricted to working a maximum of 20 hours per week during the academic year. Job Duties
JOB # 109: Environmental Science and Management: Teaching Associate
Under the direction of the Professor(s) instructing the course (ESM 230, GSP 270 and/or ESM 303), the Teaching Associate will be responsible for presenting weekly lab exercises, including new concepts and techniques.
The Teaching Associate will be available to assist students with questions during the lab session. The Teaching Associate will also be responsible for making minor edits/improvements to lab handouts and for grading lab assignments submitted by the students in the course of assignment. The anticipated workload is 5.3 hours per week per lab section (weekly meetings with the instructor or instructors to go over lab materials, grading, presentation time, and grading for labs). Breakdown of workload is below:
* 70% Lab Instruction
* 10% Preparation
* 20% Grading
Minimum Qualifications for this Classification
Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of the subject matter of the discipline to which the individual is assigned. Ability to relate well to others within the academic environment and ability to instruct and evaluate students.
Education: Education equivalent to or completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree and concurrent admission to or enrollment in a graduate degree program of the university in the discipline to which the individual is assigned.

Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes:
Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.
Enforcing the laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping to and from the United States.
Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats and perform risk assessments for violations of laws and threats to national security.
Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity for the purposes of gaining information from suspected violators of laws to determine the appropriate course of action.

Utilizing the weight room, turf field, and gym the focus of this position is to maximize player performance on the field or court, as well as focus on injury prevention and student-athlete well-being.
Create sport specific in-season and off-season workouts for all athletic teams at the College.
Create effective warm-u and stretching routines to maximize performance and prevent injuries.
Collaborate with all Head Coaches to incorporate specific needs and focal points for areas of improvement in the off-season.
Collaborate with all Head Coaches to set up a calendar for team workouts to be as organized and efficient as possible around other sports' schedules.
Collaborate with the Athletic Training team to best create programming
Maintain and clean and organized weight room.
Demonstrate and explain proper lifting techniques and form to prevent injury and maximize results.
Create and enforce weight room rules to maintain a safe environment for all students.

The Opportunity
Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, the Checker is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, performing cash register operations and safeguarding company assets. Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods of times.

Summer Day Camp Director

KE Camps is the leading provider of summer camps for country clubs nationwide. We partner with over 230 private clubs all over the country to implement traditional-style day camps for elementary-aged children. As a Camp Director, you will be the go-to person for all things camp at your specific country club location. Camp Director Qualities

Camp Director Responsibilities
* Work with group of campers and provide a fun, safe and exciting camp experience
* Supervise daily swim time in a hands-on manner from within the water, as needed (lifeguard certification not required)
* Work with and supervise counselors in a supportive manner
* Assign counselors to specific tasks and manage their performance
* Complete and submit daily and weekly administrative tasks electronically
* Greet families and campers upon arrival and orientate them to camp
* Establish rules with campers and staff and review emergency procedures
* Manage parent expectations by knowing your campers and conversing with parents at pick-up and drop-off times
* Plan daily camp schedule and activities
* Shop for camp supplies, staying within supply budget provided by KE Camps
* Prepare activities in advance
* Manage any issues that may arise including, but not limited to, camper behavior issues, parent complaints, etc.
* Check in with the KE Camps Office to update them on your camp and any issues you may be encountering
* Complete other duties, as assigned
Our camp is located at Ingomar Club in Eureka, CA. Camp will run Monday-Friday from June 22 through July 31 - staff members must be available to work the full camp season.

General Summary:
A Eureka College Peer Mentor provides one-on-one mentoring sessions that support the mentees' goals. Mentees are first-year students who are either the first in their family to attend college and/or historically underrepresented. The Peer Mentor is responsible for providing mentorship to 4-5 mentees for the entire academic year through weekly interactions. The Peer Mentor will participate in training prior to being assigned a mentee roster and will attend 3 campus activities throughout the semester. A peer mentor should be passionate about helping others succeed, eager to develop their leadership, dedicated to serving diverse student groups, have an open mind and flexibility.
Position Responsibilities:
Serve as an advocate, coach and role model for mentees
Partner with mentees to support action plans completed through college resources
Initiate contact with mentees each week
Utilize tools from the Peer Mentor training to mentoring relationship
Email or text roster of mentees a list of activities that are occurring on campus each week
Document all interactions with mentees through electronic case note form on a weekly basis
Attend bi-weekly Peer Mentor staff meetings
Immediately inform supervisor if mentees are at risk of harming themselves or others
Notify supervisor of any conflicts or inability to fulfill position responsibilities.
Participate in required mentor trainings, meetings, and campus events.
