Ferndale Laboratories company history timeline
The company was founded in 1897 as the J.F. Hartz Company.
Ferndale Electric began decades ago in 1959 with Detroit Edison being our first major customer.
In 1975, the company, then called Ferndale Laboratories, Inc., reacted to the challenges of the changing needs of the medical community by embarking on a mission to grow from a local pharmaceutical manufacturer to a healthcare company with national recognition.
Technology enabled the company to reach out to the national marketplace, creating an inside sales force which was followed in 1996 by the implementation of an outside sales force.
As the ‘90’s and early 2000’s rolled in, our leadership team’s strategic vision guided further expansion into other markets, including health care, electronic security and homeland security.
In 2004, Ferndale Laboratories, Inc. reorganized to form the Ferndale Pharma Group, Inc., the holding company for a number of healthcare specialty companies, including:
Today’s Ferndale Healthcare Inc., incorporated in 2010 as part of the Ferndale Pharma Group, Inc., targets several key specialty markets encompassing disease states ranging from various dermatologic conditions to benign anorectal disorders.
