This is a high-impact role for a seasoned litigator who's ready to take on complex cases against auto manufacturers and dealers on behalf of California consumers.
*Responsibilities:*
* Manage all aspects of California Lemon Law litigation from case inception through trial
* Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses
* Investigate claims by collecting and analyzing vehicle repair records, expert reports, and related evidence
* Represent clients in depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and court hearings across California
* Negotiate settlements with auto manufacturers and dealers to resolve lemon law claims
* Prepare clients and expert witnesses for depositions, testimony, and vehicle inspections
* Advise clients on their legal rights and guide them through the litigation process from start to finish
* Argue motions and represent clients in court proceedings
* Collaborate with senior attorneys and supervise associates as needed
* Coordinate with legal support staff to ensure efficient and seamless case management
* Stay current on California Lemon Law and consumer protection regulations to provide informed legal counsel
*Qualifications:*
* Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
* Minimum5 years of litigation experience, including California Lemon Law
* Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Strong time management skills, including prioritization of cases and adhering to deadlines, internal or those imposed by the Court
* Strong organizational, time management, and skills in handling the caseloads required of the position
