The Packaging Machine Operator is responsible for set up, operation and maintenance of various machines to ensure continuous, efficient production. Will operate machines that perform one or more packaging functions including but not limited to filling, labeling, packing, or wrapping containers. Ways you will make a difference * Lead packaging machine set up and changeovers for production runs * Follow work instruction, standards and standard operating procedures for equipment set up and changeover * Identify and resolve issues during set up and changeover * Ensure packaging material including but not limited to film, cartons, boxes and labeling meets specifications and quality standards. Replenish packaging supplies as needed. * Feed product to conveyors, hoppers, scales, or other feeding devices * Operate packaging equipment including troubleshooting and making adjustments in accordance with established work standards. Operate touch screen to program code date, product weight and other relevant product data * Conduct detailed quality checks at regular intervals and inspect filled containers to ensure product is packaged according to specifications * Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with equipment at the entry maintenance mechanic level * Follow escalation protocol in a timely manner when troubleshooting efforts fail * Work closely with maintenance when escalation to support is needed for a mechanical issue Adhere to all company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practics, and safety standards * Safely operate Hand Power Jack (HPJ) to move product * Complete documentation and production paperwork and computer entry Skills that will make you successful * Basic mathematical skills * Understanding of equipment capabilities, standards and proper set points including but not limited to metal detectors, check weights and Ishida scales * Knowledge to train on and pass certification test on pallet jack and forklift * Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods and ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50 pounds * Interest in promoting teamwork while possessing a good attitude, and exhibit flexibility and willingness to perform tasks as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provides direct support in the day-to-day operations on network hardware and operating systems; duties include evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time, and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems. * Perform administration, configuration, maintenance, and support of all network equipment, including but not limited to firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points. * Participates in the design, technical review, and implementation for network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems for voice and data communication networks. * Analyze network traffic and predict growth to determine future needs. * Ensure the TRI network has the proper security in place and that the latest cybersecurity measures are in place. * Staying up to date on the latest technologies to determine the best options for TRI. * Design solutions with other teams to support new or updated applications and/or technologies. * Monitor cloud and datacenter traffic for network outages, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities. * Perform and document routine adds, moves, or changes to voice and data networks. * Analyze, resolve, and document network, hardware, software problems as well as incidents escalated from service desk tickets. * Other duties as assigned. Requirements and Skills: * Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. * Proven experience in network architecture, design, implementation, and support. * In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols. * Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and encryption technologies. * Proven ability to configure and manage networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and voice. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex network issues. * Experience working on network-related projects, demonstrating leadership in system upgrades, migrations, and implementations. * Excellence in communication and teamwork is a must.
