Job Summary
Ferrari Express Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Import Entry Clerk to join our Jamaica, NY team. This role is responsible for preparing and processing import documentation, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, Partner Government Agencies (PGA) requirements (including Fish and Wildlife), and company procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in international logistics, customs entry processing, and high-value goods.
Responsibilities
Prepare and submit accurate import entries in compliance with CBP and PGA regulations.
Review and process commercial invoices, packing lists, airway bills, and other import documents.
Coordinate with customs brokers, couriers, and freight forwarders to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
Track and monitor inbound shipments to avoid delays.
Communicate with clients regarding shipment status and required documentation.
Classify goods accurately using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
Maintain organized shipment files in compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
Resolve customs holds or documentation issues quickly.
Collaborate with Operations, Vault, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth import workflows.
Assist with internal and external compliance audits.
Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in import operations, customs brokerage, or international logistics (high-value goods experience preferred).
Knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, and PGA requirements.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Fish and Wildlife import requirements is a plus.
Bilingual (Italian, Spanish, or other languages) preferred but not required.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, full-time.
Occasional overtime or weekend work, depending on operational needs.
