About the Role:
Fannie May, a division of Ferrero, is looking for Maintenance Associates to assist in our maintenance department at our North Canton, Ohio location. The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. The Maintenance Associate will have responsibility for electrical repair and equipment/building maintenance. This position is for 3rd shift (midnights) and Saturday overtime will be mandatory at times. There is a shift differential of $1.25 per hour for 3rd shift. Hours are 10:30p - 6:30a.

Main Responsibilities:
* Record parts and materials used, record repairs and maintenance performed.
* Inventory kept and managed of all spare parts (including pricing)
* Will insource parts as needed based in inventory levels.
* General upkeep of Maintenance Department.
* Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
* Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
* Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
* Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions. Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs. Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
* Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
* Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment
* Responsible to uphold and maintain the food safety and quality systems.
Who we are looking for:
Education or Experience
* High school diploma or GED or 1-2 years of previous machine maintenance experience, electrical helpful
* Ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics
* Sufficient reading level to understand written requirements/instructions.
* Working knowledge of rigging methods used to move heavy equipment
Physical
* Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally, stand for up to 8 hours, use of hands.
Computer Skills
* Above average understanding of basic computer principles (Microsoft Excel, Word) to properly enter quality control information, and inventory information.

· Knowledge and experience of Boiler System, Ammonia and Freon Chillers, Air Compressors, Glycol and AHU cooling systems, Fire protection system, Air Handling system and Waste Water system.
· Perform mechanical, plumbing, piping, and basic electrical repairs
· Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation within the CMMS
· Conduct routine preventive maintenance, including filter changes, belt inspections, lubrication, and system performance tuning.
· Support operation and repair of wastewater treatment equipment and maintain potable water systems, pumps, chemical feed systems, valves, and associated piping.
· Perform scheduled inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on steam and hot-water boilers.
· Troubleshoot system pressures, oil levels, electrical controls, and moisture problems.
· Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
· Support emergency repair needs and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
