1981

In 1981, in response to its wide acceptance in the global marketplace, Ferrofluidics became a public company (NASDAQ: FERO).

1987

Ferrotec Corporation is a Japanese company which was a former subsidiary of Ferrofluidics until a management buyout in 1987.

1991

1991 Foundation of SCTB Nord (Moscow, Russia).

1992

1992 Launch of thermoelectric module manufacture in Moscow.

1995

1995 Obtaining patents for the glued module technology and launch of high reliability products for operation in cycling mode.

1996

1996 Development of the P-type polycrystalline extruded material technology and replacement of the previously used zone-melted material with a new material of extremely high strength.

1997

In 1997, Ferrofluidics developed a "value added" program with its extensive customer base, offering fully integrated Ferrofluidic sealing sub-assemblies.

1998

In 1998, the company entered into another market - supplying ferrofluid for use in DVD optical pickup actuators where the ferrofluid damping greatly improves the actuators settling time and vibrational characteristics.

1999

1999 Development of N-type polycrystalline extruded material and starting its mass use for the manufacture of a new generation of thermoelectric modules.

2005

2005 SCTB Nord was incorporated into Ferrotec Corp., Japan (Securities Code: 6890 JASDAQ).

2009

2009 Introduction of a module assembly technology using Au/Sn high temperature solder.
