Ferrum College is a small school that offers liberal arts and
professional academics, experiential learning opportunities, and the
beautiful environment of the southern Blue Ridge Mountain region. Located in Ferrum, Virginia, Ferrum College offers more than 30 programs
of study in such diverse fields of study as: * Business * Criminal Justice * Environmental Science * Literature * Theatre Ferrum College academics also combine service and experiential learning
opportunities, where students go out into the community and work at
businesses and organizations in a position related to their field of
study. Campus life includes recreational and outdoor activities, campus
festivals, and entertainment. With Roanoke, Greensboro and other cities within short driving distance,
students also have access to cultural, shopping and other activities of
those cities. The actual physical campus consists of historic buildings, on a naturally
beautiful campus at the based of the Blue Ridge Mountains and in close
proximity to a number of state parks, lakes and other natural reserves. A high school diploma or GED is required for admission. Applications may
be submitted online, along with the application fee. Need-based aid programs award Pell grants, loans and work-study. Ferrum
College also provides resource information for outside scholarships.
