Good Cause, Great Culture
As a sophomore in college, Wes Schroll noticed how high those grocery bills were piling and how he didn't believe it had to be that way. He couldn't sit around and do nothing while there were savings out there, somewhere, that weren't getting used just because they weren't on hand at that exact moment. So he put his nose to the grindstone and created Fetch Rewards.
Fetch Rewards is an app that allows you to save money every time you go to the store. After you finish shopping, you take a photo of your receipt with the Fetch app and the savings start pouring in. It is their philosophy that all people should have access to the same great chance to save money on the things that they need and the things that they love.
Fetch Rewards is a very diverse company. In valuing collaboration, they make sure that they are getting input from every different perspective.
Some of the ways that Fetch ensures a high standard of diversity include:
They even have a full-time position that is dedicated solely to managing the company's diversity and inclusion initiatives and policies.
It is a laid-back, community-like environment at Fetch made up of passionate and energetic people. Employees feel comfortable while also being challenged intellectually. Being a start-up, you will be challenged to solve problems and then you will see the results of that in effect. This leads to fulfilling work experience and a shared pride amongst the staff.
A culture of collaboration permeates Fetch Rewards. With open floorplans, shared lunches and open-door policy, Fetch loves when people work together. Everyone is open to hearing new ideas, and there is no hesitation in sharing new ideas because there are no egos in the workplace.
Everyone influences each others' work in some form or fashion. This level of in-office collaboration leads to the development of lasting friendships. Fetch offices are often creating these types of outside-of-work comraderies. That means that there are a lot of after-work or weekend employee get-togethers.
Aside from great health, dental, vision and life insurance, there are a number of awesome perks that come with working at Fetch. They match 25% on the first 5% you contribute to your 401k. They offer company equity for most positions in the company, which is something that you don't see too often. And they reward your hard work accordingly with performance bonuses.
Some other awesome perks include:
Another big benefit of working with Fetch is that once they get you on-board, they are invested in your growth and development. They offer various training opportunities and conferences that can be attended, along with a very successful mentorship program. They also are big proponents of promoting from within. It's a great place to grow and learn and have a lot of fun doing it.
Also, it's an awesome company that is helping people all over the country. Working for Fetch is the definition of working for a good cause.
If you are looking to work with Fetch, make sure you know your stuff going into the interview. Previous and current employees have stated that the interviewers will expect you to have a pretty good understanding of it and how it works. One current employee said that it would be beneficial, going into the interview, to have used the app several times. The interviewers will also want to hear about your ideas for the company. They want proactive, creative people who have opinions and ideas they aren't afraid to share. So come prepared with your best suggestions and comments.
The interview is known to take place mostly all at once, with several employees saying that their interviews were consolidated to five in one day. So expect to speak with upper management on your first in-person interview. They will want to hear about you. They'll want to hear about how your experiences will translate to the position that you are interviewing for and make sure that you are a good cultural fit for their team. Bring your A-game and you could land a job with one of the coolest companies operating right now.
