Pavlov Media fiber optic splicer job description

The Fiber Optic Splicer is responsible for the installation, support, and troubleshooting of fiber equipment/LVC for commercial and residential buildings on the Pavlov Media fiber backbone. This position will also be responsible for the installation of fiber enclosures.
We will have fiber to the home installations in Lavon, Corinth, and Lake Dallas area.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Maintain a customer first attitude to ensure customer satisfaction
• Travel to each assigned site as needed to complete work orders
• Share information and provide feedback to internal teams on a consistent basis
• Field calls, emails, and work orders from Pavlov Media HQ
• Demonstrate effective troubleshooting skills and the ability to use them
• Understand network diagrams and other technical manuals
• Assist with upkeep on network documentation and product training materials
• Ensure that network quality meets Pavlov Media standards

  • Must meet Background Check requirements as set forth in the Outside Plant Services Agreement between Supplier and company
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Must have the ability to work aloft
  • Must have the ability to operate hydraulic aerial lifts (buckets) and ladders for hard-to-reach poles (Ex. Backyards)
  • Must be willing to work any days and/or nights, outdoors in any type of weather if needed.
  • Must follow established safety practices and guidelines according to EXCELL’s specifications
  • Must adhere to strict regulations and procedures for the security of company property
