FiberLight CEO and leadership

An experienced telecommunications management executive (CTO/COO), with responsibility for all technical and operational activities in a service provider networking company, including the network design, fiber construction, engineering, field operations, provisioning, maintenance, and monitoring involved in the delivery of customer-facing voice, data, internet and managed services. Ownership of the creation of overall strategic vision and architecture for network and IT systems technologies.

Specialties: Optical fiber technologies; metro optical networking; Ethernet services; IP networks; long haul optical networking; network architecture, design and construction; technology assessment and product evaluation; large-scale project management; field service operations, IT development, systems support, and leadership of a technology organization.

Ron is a founding member of FiberLight and transitioned from our predecessors ACSI NT and Xspedius Communications. He has held many roles within the organization - including Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Construction, President of Texas (Operations), and Chief Development Officer - before being appointed our Chief Strategy Officer in 2014. In this capacity, he draws upon 30 years of utility construction experience and 20 years of sales development experience to build and strengthen customer and partner relationships, negotiate complex commercial agreements, and advance network expansion and other large projects. When he’s not serving as a FiberLight emissary, he enjoys traveling with his family, including regular visits to Europe.

Jay Anderson has more than 17 years of Networking Engineering and Management Leadership experience within the telecommunications industry. As FiberLight’s Chief Engineer, he leads the company in network design, planning and evolution in addition to steering alignment across functional teams throughout the business. During his tenure at FiberLight, Jay has held multiple other responsibilities, through which he has promoted organizational growth via new initiatives and effective use of processes and software.

Prior to joining FiberLight, Jay was Director of Regional Engineering for FiberTower LLC, where he managed a team of engineers focused on planning, designing and implementing backhaul networks supporting the major Wireless Carriers in the United States. Other past experiences include Bluegrass Cellular and AT&T Wireless where he designed and managed cellular and backhaul networks.

Jay is a graduate of the Louisiana Tech University, where he earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.

Will Sears is a Chief Revenue Officer at FiberLight, LLC and is based in Dallas, Texas. He has worked as Chief Revenue Officer at Logix Fiber Networks. Will works or has worked as Chief Operating Officer at Logix Communications. He studied at University of Central Missouri between 1986 and 1990.
