As the Facilities Assistant you will work closely with the Facilities Manager to assist with monitoring and maintaining the building and laboratory facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Custodial * Maintain engineering lab spaces. This includes electronics labs as well as Class 1K and 10K clean room spaces. Tasks include monitoring and replacing filters, lights, etc., as well as general cleaning. * Maintain lab gowning materials and gowning room stocking (lab coats, gloves, etc.). Facility * Perform general handyman repairs and maintenance. This includes wall patching and basic carpentry. * Assist Facilities Manager with HVAC equipment monitoring and maintenance. * Assist Facilities Manager with building needs, external contractor monitoring, and tasks as assigned. General * Assist in developing facility processes and routine maintenance schedule. * Engage with vendors for quoting and hiring. * Maintain records and documentation for the facility. * Occasional weekend and/or early morning hours. * May at times be required to respond quickly to emergencies via phone, email, or in-person outside of normal working hours.
