Fibetek is seeking a detail-oriented and certified Electronics Technician to support the assembly, inspection, testing, and rework of high-reliability electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IPC J-STD-001 standards and a strong understanding of electronic components, soldering techniques, cable assembly, and quality assurance practices in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities: Assemble, solder, and inspect electronic components and circuit card assemblies (CCAs) in accordance with IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards. Perform cable and wire harness assembly in compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards. Conduct functional and diagnostic testing of electronic assemblies and printed circuit boards (PCBs) using standard test equipment. Perform rework and repair on complex electronic assemblies, including surface mount and through-hole components. Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to ensure accurate builds. Conduct visual inspections and functional tests to verify product quality and compliance. We are looking for an experienced Electro-Optical Systems Engineer to join our R&D team in Herndon, VA. As the Electro-Optical Systems Engineer, you must demonstrate a working knowledge of developmental test processes, test set-ups and systems integration. Additionally, you must demonstrate the ability to identify and understand technological risks and to implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure program success. You will be leading the implementation from the ground up of formalized and rigorous systems engineering processes, practices, tools, and disciplines. Duties and Responsibilities: Work in cross-functional teams with Program Managers, scientists, and engineers to develop new technologies and laser systems. System level oversight of product development including review and approval of system and subsystem requirements, decomposition of requirements and allocation to system, subsystem, and component levels. Prepare Systems Engineering Master Plans (SEMP) and other technical documentation.
