The Manager, Investment Risk will manage key aspects of investment risk and credit risk modeling, including oversight and approval of data inputs and assumptions, investment analytics and reporting, establishing investment policy through risk appetite analysis. This role will also be responsible for developing and implementing enhancements to the reporting process, as well as refining methodologies for risk monitoring.
This position reports to the Director, Financial & Investment Risk. This position will work with other members of the Risk team and other functional areas within the Company, including Investments, Finance, Legal, IT, and key members of external asset managers serving the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage expansion, enhancement and ongoing maintenance of asset models focused on credit risk and capital implications, including validation and approval of inputs and assumptions, analysis and reporting of credit risk analytics and results, and driving decision making from the model results
Manage, enhance, and validate investments governance and documentation, including investment guidelines, and investment policies and limits, to reflect changing macro variables, changing company structure, reinsurance arrangements, regulatory updates and industry changes/reforms
Manage and automate investment monitoring and reporting tools and systems, including investment limits based on liquidity, credit risk, capital at risk, and regulatory compliance reporting
Partner with the Investments team to enhance portfolio monitoring and guide strategic decision-making
Liaise with external asset managers to provide timely regular updates to reporting and analytics, scenario modeling, and data needs for improved and timely support of credit loss models and compliance reporting
Liaise with partners in Finance and Actuarial to support platform modernization projects to best leverage the platforms for investment analytics, monitoring and compliance reporting, to help drive improvements to asset and ALM modeling, and to provide guidance and support for the successful completion of the modernization projects
Work collaboratively with other personnel in the Risk department, supporting the expansion of the risk function
Support efforts to grow distribution, helping to provide input to risk governance and feedback to the launch of new products and distribution channels.
Promote risk informed decision making across the enterprise
Support new reinsurance due diligence, establish/negotiate investment guideline, and operationalize process for monitoring
Work closely with Investment Portfolio Analytics and external asset managers to report on portfolio metrics, provide analytical insights, and identify emerging risks
Evaluate best practice credit risk modeling
Assist with any ad-hoc analytical requests
Experience and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, investments or related field.
7 years of investment risk management experience or investment-related experience
CFA, ASA, FRM and/or MFE designation preferred
Experience with asset modeling, monitoring, and analytics preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong capabilities in MS Excel, familiarity with MS Access & SQL, and demonstrated capability to learn to work with modeling and analytic platforms such as Bloomberg, Aladdin and risk or ALM modeling platforms
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Team player who is comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
Strong capabilities with Bloomberg, Aladdin or similar modeling and investment systems
Demonstrated proficiency of Python through work projects
Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure and GCP

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities
Support the overall Product Roadmap to meet the timing and milestones from the Product Development and Product Implementation deliverables while exhibiting flexibility as projects are re-prioritized or timelines are shifted
Lead the development and maintenance to checker tools and calculators used to support new products, riders, enhancements, and remediation efforts in the Administration and Illustration systems and any applicable production requests (e.g. Accelerated Death Benefit quotes).
Review and approve test plans for new products, riders, enhancements, and remediations efforts in the Administration and Illustration Systems, in coordination with the Product Implementation and Illustration teams
Execute test cases and ensure accuracy in the Administration and Illustration Systems, in coordination with the Product Implementation, Illustration, QA, and external third party administrators.
Provide additional Product Development support to new products, riders, enhancements, and remediation efforts which includes assisting in the review and creation of Product Specs, Business Requirement Documents, policy and rider forms
Provide support to business as usual items within the Product Team, such as: Illustration Certification testing, Nonforfeiture testing, competitive intel and analysis, etc.
Experience and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree required - Preferred in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related technical field
Life insurance and annuity product knowledge is required with preference for Indexed UL and Fixed Indexed Annuity experience.

This position, while responsible for developing new and existing relationships, will provide equal level of pro-active, high-end support to the National Account VP and key accounts. Understanding and mastering F&G's processes, systems, and resources is very important to the role. The position produces meaningful and actionable sales reports using existing systems and resources.
This position will be expected to be a significant, highly personalized resource to many sales accounts. This position is mainly for marketing personnel, back office staff, and key agents within the IMO. It also involves identifying which Power Partners have experience working with small to mid-size broker-dealers and registered investment advisors (RIAs).The incumbent in this role is expected to master F&G's products, and have a high working knowledge of competitor's products in order to compare and contrast features and benefits. This position requires travel to support IMO field distribution efforts including but not limited to attending conferences, main stage and board room presentations.
The National Accounts Manager will develop and work toward meeting or exceeding an account sales plan, in collaboration with the National Account VP.
This role will engage across organizational levels with the principal, the marketer, and the back office/operations in supporting and growing sales through IMOs. The principal level requires gaining trust and commitment from agency leadership as well as developing marketing and sales plans that demonstrate active marketing of F&G -Annuity products. The marketer level involves building working relationships by providing training and support on F&G Annuity products. Working with the back office, this position will facilitate operational needs with resources of F&G. In all levels, the incumbent is expected to be the primary company resource.
This position will help direct the activities of home office sales support to achieve stated production goals and sales objectives. This position works very closely with other sales team members, marketing & operations.
This position reports directly to the National Account VP, IMO Distribution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate thorough, in-depth knowledge of company products, practices and procedures.
Conduct new account installations (how to do business with F&G) and provide marketing support to IMO internal and external marketers with tools such as webinars, conference calls, PowerPoint, etc.
On an ongoing basis, profile and document IMO approach, strategies, personnel, production, etc. through business profiles. In person sales activities include: principal planning meetings, marketing meetings, training seminars, boot camps, agent conferences, back office training meetings, joint phone calls or appointments. Develop expert knowledge and proficiency in company applications including commission systems, company VDI, Salesforce, illustration software and F&G's producer portal, SalesLink.
Manage relationship, sales and marketing expectations for Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs), and other high potential agencies - known collectively as “key accounts”.
Recruit key accounts that meet the stated company profile with the ability to generate sales volumes necessary to validate the MGA compensation.
Make recommendations, to the National Account VP, on appropriate contract levels, including increasing and/or decreasing contract levels, and on appropriate incentives necessary to build distribution networks.
Maintain successful business relationships with key accounts through frequent communication and visitation. Develop and record on company networks business plans with key accounts. Encourage, support and participate in meetings and seminars that promote Fidelity & Guaranty Life. Develop knowledge of specific account requirements as they relate to home office service capabilities and procedures. Coordinate special needs of key accounts in interfacing successfully with the home office. This position will require approximately 50% travel. It is also expected that significant time is spent in the home office. Travel and entertainment expenses must be reasonable and within guidelines established by management.
Identify opportunities for, and coordinate the development of, consistent high-quality presentations, and other promotional pieces in support of marketing efforts. Monitor and track competitors' products and positioning and the impact they have on F&G competitive positioning. Contribute suggestions and competitive intelligence for effective product positioning to the National Account VP, IMODistribution.
Utilize a channel-agnostic approach in discovery process working with IMOs and Broker Dealers, ensuring that we offer solutions that are valued most by each potential distributor.
Prepare management reports as requested, to include activity reports and an extensive semi-annual review of key accounts.
Other duties and special projects, as assigned, by the National Account VP or senior level management.
Experience and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree required preferably in Business or Marketing or equivalent to appropriate years of job experience
Industry recognized designation preferred such as CLU, ChFC or CFP.
3+ years of key account management experience.
Demonstrated success in sales and/or marketing functions.
Demonstrated ability to work within a home office environment
Prefererably bilingual in Spanish

Job Description
The Director, Tax - Investments will be a subject matter expert with primary responsibilities in investment taxation. Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a tax technical expert in tax accounting and tax compliance for alternative investments and derivatives.
Oversee tax function for the partnership investments, investments in disregarded entities, mortgage loan investments and derivatives held by the Company.
Responsible for operationalizing all new investments and collaborating with Director, Investment RAP in developing and implementing the Investment tax strategy and process for the organization.
Oversee partnership AFSI adjustments for CAMT and stay current with tax law changes in CAMT.
Oversee foreign tax credit calculation and ensure accurate tax forms are completed for tax returns.
Responsible for the accuracy of investment tax calculations and adjustments included in the Company's current income tax provisions, the accuracy of tax basis for invested assets, and the accuracy of the investment deferred tax assets as determined under ASC 740 and SSAP 101 for the company's alternative investment portfolio, including partnership investments, investments in disregarded entities, mortgage loan investments , and derivatives. Ensure accurate deferred tax inventory is maintained for investments in OTP.
Oversee timely and accurate delivery of investment tax compliance workpapers and specified Federal forms for life and non-life entity tax returns and life/non-life consolidated return.
Proactively identify and implement process improvements, increase automation, and enhance digital analytics using existing and emerging technology solutions.
Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including cross-functional teams, Clearwater and asset managers
Coordinate and oversee investment tax deliverables for quarterly business plan updates.
Oversee that proper internal controls are performed.
Participate in relevant internal meetings with Investment, Investment Accounting, and Tax department personnel, including new investment onboarding (RAP) meetings.
Provide support and mentor to staff ; assist in managing contractors
Experience and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
Certified Public Accountant required
Minimum of 8 years of tax experience required with 2 years in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm
Insurance industry experience is a plus
Experience with tax transactions, accounting and reporting for investment types other than securities, including partnerships, LLCs, real estate debt and equity, derivatives.
Experience working in regulated environment

Expertise in analyzing differences between the tax basis and Statutory or GAAP basis of accounting for various investment types

Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including cross-functional teams, Clearwater and asset managers
Coordinate and oversee investment tax deliverables for quarterly business plan updates.
Oversee that proper internal controls are performed.
Participate in relevant internal meetings with Investment, Investment Accounting, and Tax department personnel, including new investment onboarding (RAP) meetings.
Provide support and mentor to staff ; assist in managing contractors
Experience and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
Certified Public Accountant required
Minimum of 8 years of tax experience required with 2 years in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm
Insurance industry experience is a plus
Experience with tax transactions, accounting and reporting for investment types other than securities, including partnerships, LLCs, real estate debt and equity, derivatives.
Experience working in regulated environment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Expertise in analyzing differences between the tax basis and Statutory or GAAP basis of accounting for various investment types
Expertise in tax accounting principles and partnership taxation
Expertise in managing and analyzing investment portfolios from an income tax perspective
Demonstrate knowledge of tax accounting software systems
Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Strong computer knowledge including working knowledge of tax, accounting, and investment based software (Clearwater, Essbase and Oracle, OTP), spreadsheets and word processing software.
Proficiency with MS Excel; familiarity with Data mining/SQL skills, Bloomberg
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively work and communicate with various levels of employees and management
Highly motivated, able to work both autonomously and in a team environment, and demonstrates the willingness to take on additional responsibility(ies) as needed.

JOB SUMMARY

This position will build business by identifying prospects, converting prospects to clients and maintaining relationships with existing clients. Risk Advisors are required to generate new business to meet minimum sales goals established by North Risk Partners.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Prospect and generate new business appointments
* Analyze and develop solutions for prospective and current client business insurance needs
* Develop strong relationships with clients through advising and offering all value-added services available through North Risk Partners
* Sell/refer business across all departments (i.e., property and casualty, employee benefits and personal lines)
* Study trends and advancements in the insurance and finance industries as well as changes to the regulatory climate for businesses and the insurance industry overall to keep knowledge current and plan strategically
* Attend and actively participate in agency sales training meetings
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner insurance carriers
* Continuously fill the sales pipeline and meet monthly goals associated with the pipeline
* Enter activity and other relevant information into the company's software system(s) in accordance with company procedures
* Follow all federal and state regulations, and best practices for avoiding errors and omissions
* Collect overdue account receivable balances from customers. See company policy
* Continue professional development; pursue and maintain professional designations if applicable
* Travel as necessary to meet client needs
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
* A combination of education and experience generally attained through a high school degree, bachelor's degree, and a minimum of 3 years in a sales role
* Ability to obtain & maintain a life & heatlth license
* Commission based sales experience is helpful, but not required
