Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, working at heights, and in confined spaces. Certifications: Carpentry certification or equivalent training. Familiarity with OSHA or other maritime safety standards is an advantage. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with traditional and modern shipbuilding carpentry methods. Familiarity with using epoxy, fiberglass, and other composite materials in marine applications. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in handling complex repairs. Work Environment: The role involves working both onboard vessels and in the shipyard, often under challenging conditions such as exposure to weather, noise, and heavy machinery.
