What Does A Field Advisor Do At Gm Financial

* Research, recommend, and implement strategies that align department priorities to that of the organization with the goal of enhancing the GMF employer brand and improving the candidate experience.
* Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the business’s vision goals and strategies.
* Translate broad strategies into specific actions plans to drive engagement events, achieve TA objectives, and improve business results.
* Perform competitive research and analysis as needed.
* Meet regularly with business leaders to foster open communication that welcomes information sharing, seeks input, and values diverse viewpoints.
* Develop and maintain relationships including but not limited to the following people or groups: academic faculty, career office employees, students, military and community organizations.
* Plan, organize, and attend engagement events at core schools and community groups.
* Drive the deployment of additional resources to support by utilizing alumni and other members of the business.
* Plan, organize, and execute recruiting events such as information sessions, networking events, and interviews at assigned GMF location(s).
* Support plan execution by proactively searching, identifying, and networking with active and passive job seekers for vacancies.
* Conduct and participate in phone and face-to-face interviews as needed.
* REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
* Reports to: Recruiting Supervisor/Recruiting Manager
* Subordinates: None
* Knowledge
* Complete understanding of the recruitment, pre-employment and post-employment process.
* Should have working knowledge of statutory regulations pertaining to recruiting, such as, but not limited to, anti-discrimination laws, pre-employment screenings, interview techniques/limitations, and special accommodations related to the position.
* Complete understanding of individual hiring manager’s expectations of the recruitment process to include: job requirements, desired job posting locations, salary structure, required managers to be involved in the interview process and the date the position is expected to be filled.
* Complete understanding of the GM Financial pre-employment process, policies and procedures, and benefits package is required.
* Skills
* Excellent consultative, communication, interpersonal and networking skills are a must.
* Must demonstrate a team-oriented, collaborative nature.
* Ability to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations and make sound decisions while meeting time sensitive deadlines.
* Ability to manage competing demands while being extremely adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency with leading small scale talent acquisition projects.
* Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to multi-task and meticulous attention to detail.
* Demonstrated success in sourcing and recruiting for a diverse number of business units.
* Must have the ability to work with all levels of individuals.
* Strong organizational and follow-up skills are required to build and maintain relationships with managers at various levels.
* Extensive knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS); posting open requisitions, tracking candidate activity and maintaining compliance with required data fields.
* Strong technical aptitude; ability to navigate multiple systems such as the Google platform and all social sourcing tools in addition to Windows operating systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
* Experience
* Should have a minimum of 5 – 8 years of experience as a recruiter, preferably with a strong background in high volume recruiting.
* Industry experience preferred.
* Experience with University/College recruitment and community and military engagement
* Demonstrated ability to build deep relationships with candidates considered high value targets by the business.
* Demonstrated experience with iCIMS a plus.
* Strong experience with developing and executing sourcing strategies.
* Extensive background in high volume recruiting a must.
* Experience deploying, administering and interpreting various assessment tools a plus.
* Experience counseling hiring managers regarding recruiting strategies and practices that support the goals and direction of the organization.
* Professional and leadership level recruiting experiences preferred.
* Strong professional presence and solid business acumen
