Ability to conduct detailed reservoir evaluations and studies. Ability to integrate geological data into reservoir engineering calculations. Ability to accurately solve problems. About the role The Sr. Traveling Wellfield Technician is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, repair, installation, and performance of the assigned landfill gas collection and control systems. Travel will be required primarily to locations in Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Kansas City. locations will vary, and the candidate must be willing to travel to sites across the U. S. as needed. Travel is 75 percent or greater. Key accountabilities Responsible for the operation and trouble-shooting of the wellfield and control devices in safe, efficient, and productive manner to maintain compliance with the site-specific Title V Operating Permit, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), and prescribed safety and environmental standards and applicable state, federal and local rules and regulations. Maintains daily logs and obtains readings in accordance with prescribed standards. Follows all plant and landfill safety policies and procedures. Uses personal protective equipment (hardhat, FR clothing, safety shoes, safety vest, hearing protection, gas monitoring equipment, safety glasses, etc. ) in accordance with work tasks and company policies. The SCA Alaska Restoration Corps is a 14-week AmeriCorps program focused on leadership development, completing restoration work projects and building a sense of community. This will consist of 3 young adult members and one leader. This team will be working with the US Forest Service in Hope, AK to restore natural structure and function to Resurrection Creek, which was straightened during placer mining operations in the early 20th century. The restoration includes rebuilding the degraded stream channel and floodplains, constructing pools, side channels and ponds, installing logs and root-wads, and re-vegetating stream banks and riparian areas. Resurrection Creek is important salmon spawning habitat that has been nearly unusable since the changes made during mining operations. Schedule April 5, 2026 - August 29, 2026 Key Duties and Responsibilities The SCA Alaska Restoration Corps is a 14 week AmeriCorps program focused on leadership development, completing habitat restoration work projects, and building a sense of community. You will lead a 4 person crew as a trained SCA Project Leader. The group will live and serve together for the duration of the program. Leaders should be prepared to camp throughout the summer and face the challenges of weather, insects, remoteness, and wildlife typical of outdoor work in Alaska. This is an opportunity to learn the hard and soft skills required for work in the outdoor industry; folks will walk away with experience in conservation restoration work, leadership, interpersonal skills, budgeting, and outdoor living skills. Each team will camp for the duration of the program and eat meals together. During training leaders will hone their outdoor living skills, trail work skills, and teamwork skills, which they will be expected to pass on to their members during the season. The team will work with each other to resolve conflict and build relationships in remote areas, where they may go hours or days with minimal contact with people outside of the crew, depending on the project and work location. Leaders are responsible for overseeing the team's workday, making sure camp tasks are completed, providing leadership in conflict resolution, and mentoring young adults in outdoor living and trail building skills. They are also responsible for completing administrative tasks throughout the season such Emergency Response Plans, Job Hazard Analysis, Incident Reports, budgeting, meal planning, food purchasing, expense reconciling, and end-of-season reporting. During days off, leaders are expected to ensure that members are, minimally, in a safe location with access to communications and transportation services. Depending on how remote the location is, this may mean the team spends days off together, or are at least in the same location. To be safe in bear country by traveling as a group, the team will usually recreate together as well. SCA teams work in remote, tight-knit communities and are expected to maintain a positive representation of SCA during days off. While working with the US Forest Service, members and leaders will be able to network with professionals in natural resources and recreation management. Crews may have unique opportunities to learn about different career paths in recreation and natural resources and see first-hand what their work consists of. Leaders will travel to the Project Leader Training location in April (location TBD), then to Anchorage for further training and preparation before Corps Member Training in Indian, AK. Each leader will receive $1,300 for this travel. Leaders will have about two weeks before members arrive to prepare for their season by coordinating with their project partners, buying food and supplies for their members, and coordinating travel and project details with their SCA Program Coordinator. This position can be filled in either Fairbanks, AK or Anchorage, AK DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Understand, practice and continually lead by example Doyon Energy Services' commitment to zero incident safety and environmental culture. * Closely work with DAL managers and supervisors to ensure understanding and compliance with all project requirements. * Oversee or directly prepare appropriate calculations, field work plans, documentation for project installation, lift plans, hydrotest plans. * Write daily, weekly and monthly status reports and submit to Project Manager for inclusion in client reports. * Function as a technical expert for project field team for interpretation of project design documents, applicable codes, laws and regulations. * Ensure vital and important records are retained and kept current for inclusion in document turnover packages. * Frequent communication with Executive and Sr. management, project field team leaders, and client supervision. * Timely preparation and submittal of accurate fabrication drawings. * Assist or lead preparing defining Scopes of Work for Request For Proposal packages that are issued to potential subcontractors. * Review and provide oversight on project schedule development, maintenance * Prepare all as-built drawings for official project documentation turnover to client. * Ensure applicable client requirements are incorporated into project processes and procedures, coordinate with Quality Control to verify documentation is being completed per corporate policy. * Understand contract provisions which address scope of work, design criteria and DAL compensation. * Coordinate with client technical authorities to obtain interpretations of technical requirements and to resolve related issues. * Understand the importance of safety and quality workmanship and continually take proactive measures so all construction activities meet or exceed corporate and client criteria and standards. * Develop and maintain close working relationships with client's technical authorities, project supervision and all other personnel and departments associated with DES projects. * Ability to work and comply to existing corporate policies, standards, and expectations. * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES * Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management or related and equivalent experience. * 5-8 years of experience in project construction engineering on arctic oil & gas pipeline projects. * Demonstrated ability to prepare project cost estimates and schedules. * Demonstrated ability to prepare scopes of work, performing construction feasibility reviews, and managing change. * Demonstrated leadership in managing people and processes. * Ability to work in a team environment, take directions from supervisor(s), high degree of attention to details, follow work rules, and adhere to established work schedules. * Well-balanced interpersonal skills * Working knowledge of API 1104, AWS D1.1, ASME B31.3 and ASME B31.4 * Ability to read and accurately interpret project specifications in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. * Ability to read maps, pipeline surveys, drawings, mechanical flow sheets, spool drawings and all other design criteria. * Ability to write highly complex reports and business correspondence and understand such reports and correspondence when received from other sources. * Ability to apply mathematical operation to such tasks and frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor. * Ability to apply intermediate mathematical skills including algebraic equations, fractions and volume metric measures. * Ability to understand and interpret graphs, charts and tables. * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Strong ability to professionally explain reasons on differences of opinion with project supervision and technical authorities. * Ability to understand and interpret safety and environmental programs, quality control and quality assurance plans and all other engineering and technical data.
