Ability to take on a project engineer and/or project manager role as required. What will you contribute? Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution. P.E. registration is required or eligible to obtain a P.E. within a year or two. 5-10 years transmission lines design experience. Technical acuity in T&D Engineering is required. Ability to inform design process based on previous experience with similar projects. Strong proficiency using PLS software suite; PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE and PLS-TOWER. Ability to perform EMF studies and line loss analysis. Transmission structure foundation design experience is an asset, including direct embed and concrete pier foundation design. Experience using GIS software packages like ArcGIS is an asset. Experience with transmission tower structural analysis is an asset. Support construction of NQA-1 concrete foundations, including documentation, inspections, and quality records. Lead daily coordination meetings with construction crews to review schedules, work plans, material availability, and readiness for execution. Review and manage shop drawings, RFIs, material submittals, and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Identify and proactively address risks related to production, quality, materials, equipment, or schedule. Support development of work packages, field execution plans, and schedules. Manage project quantity tracking and cost coding in coordination with finance and accounting teams.
