What You'll Do
* Provide Project Management for ILI tool runs, hydrotests, reconditioning projects, and anomaly digs.
* Forecast pipeline assessment and repair costs monthly.
* Communicate with key stakeholders including field operations and maintenance personnel as well as company management.
* Select appropriate ILI (In Line Inspection) methods and coordinate the schedule of tool runs.
* Coordinate kick‑off meetings for assessment and repair programs.
* Review ILI remediation worklists and transmittals.
* Calculate in‑the‑ditch remaining pipeline strength using B31G, log‑secant, etc.
* Select appropriate NDE methods and make pipeline anomaly repair determinations.
* Review and approve maintenance reports after repairs.
* Provide feedback and participate in vendor KPI meetings.
* Interpret policy, code, and regulation (CFR Title 49 parts 192 & 195).
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through updates to standards, policies, and procedures.
* Plan hydrotest objectives and call hydrostatic pressure tests.
* Manage technical troubleshooting and provide consulting on fundamental pipeline engineering concepts.
* Prepare budgets and long‑range plans.
* Identify and scope integrity‑related projects within the region.
* Represent the company's integrity program during audits.

Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $137,700 - $168,300.

Having developed broad expertise in high voltage transmission line siting, routing, permitting, right of way acquisition, design, and procurement and construction support, you are ready to undertake the role of Owner's Engineer for the largest and most complex transmission line or substation projects in the industry.
The primary duties of the T-Line OE are to lead a team of experts who are an independent advocate for the Owner in the development, design, and construction of high voltage transmission line and substation projects. The jobs performed by the T-Line OE can be large or small and can range from playing a narrowly defined role as a technical reviewer to being a full-scale, start-to-finish extension of the owner's staff.
Projects could be in the public/private utility or renewable/industrial/data center private development space and are likely to include green field or brown field projects and/or bundled upgrade programs, but could include other scopes of work. Delivery models could be EPC, Progressive Design Build, Design-Bid-Build, or other models.
Specific duties of the T-Line OE could include:
* Develop a keen understanding of owner objectives and a close relationship with the owner.
* Serve as an advocate for the owner's business objectives and identify skill gaps in the owner's staff that can be filled by the T-Line OE team.
* Advise the owner on contracting and delivery models and provide analysis and recommendations.
* Identify cost savings through tight control of the schedule, scope management, change orders, and overall project controls.

* Interface with project stakeholders, including the Owner, the serving utilities, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), and/or the construction contractor throughout the phases of project development and execution.
* Understands the PM nuances of working for the Owner and has experience assessing and managing contract risk and scope creep with the Owner.
* Responsible for proposal development, including scope in Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) format, budget, and schedule.
* Understands and has experience with basic project management tools and techniques in a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) format and Earned Value financial management.
* Responsible for leading internal engineering support during the RFP development, bid and contractor procurement, engineering, construction and commissioning phases.
* May also be a PM for traditional engineering only projects in a design-bid-build delivery model.

Job Description
AECOM has a position available for a High Voltage Transmission Engineering Lead with a specialization in utility transmission design.
This position can be based out of any AECOM office located in the west, or mid-west regions of the United States.
This position is hybrid.
The focus of your experience must be in the power delivery industry and be associated with electrical engineering with respect to the design of utility scale transmission line development.
The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:
* Lead technical staff in the preparation of utility engineering designs, cost estimates, and customer billing.
* Manage the engineering aspects of multiple projects ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV.
* in developing project schedules and defining technical staff for projects and daily work.
* Assist in the development of technical staff through mentoring, instructing of technical engineering principles, and governing electrical and safety codes.
* Instruct and teach the technical staff in the use of computer systems and software, tools and equipment, and company-owned motor vehicles.
* Manage and provide guidance and direction for professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
* Coordinate internal/external reviews of designs completed prior to submissions.
* Collaborate with the department managers to develop, evaluate, and implement new policies and procedures which reflect best engineering practices.
* Collaborate with other departments and divisions on company-wide initiatives.
* Maintain great relationships with our existing clients and seek out opportunities with potential future clients.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering and 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
* Active Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure.
* Experience with PLS-CADD, MFAD, AutoCAD
Preferred Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in Power Transmission Design
* Professional disposition and the ability to be open-minded when it comes to planning and execution of projects being worked on by staff.
* Must be able to effectively supervise a project team of Engineers & Engineering Technicians while maintaining work product quality, consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
* Advanced knowledge of overhead & underground Transmission facilities and understanding of its integration into daily activities.
* Experience with NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and other industry-relevant standards
* Proficiency in MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project)
