Position Overview
Our Client is seeking a FieldEngineer - Structures/Steel to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Director of Structural Steel, the FieldEngineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that all project materials, equipment, and resources are prepared for construction activities. This position involves working closely with project crews and providing essential technical input throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily meetings with project crews to ensure the availability of materials, equipment, and resources for scheduled construction activities.
Collect, coordinate, and analyze shop drawings, design specifications, and material requirements throughout the project duration.
Provide technical input for project work plans and schedules.
Identify risk elements that could negatively impact budget or schedule and recommend solutions.
Evaluate daily production and budget projections to accurately track project performance.
Notify team members and management of significant schedule changes and provide recommendations for corrective action.
Manage cost coding for employee time, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities.
Review and approve daily timecards, assisting the on-site Office Manager with any pay discrepancies.
Conduct quality assurance reviews of project specifications before, during, and after project completion.
Initiate and manage necessary permits, inspections, and other documentation related to construction activities.
Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Attend weekly safety meetings with field teams and project leadership, presenting field analysis as needed.
Assist in the development of design drawings and provide technical input when required.
Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 6 years of experience as an Engineer with heavy field interface experience.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Basic knowledge of Procure (or equivalent), Blue Beam, and HCSS.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Supervisory experience is preferred.
Salary Range
The salary for this position ranges from $125,000 to $165,000, depending on experience.

Summary:
