Flex Time

The Project Engineer is a critical component of the project team that works together to manage a construction project.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities
Coordinate material procurement and delivery
Produce project schedules
Review and determine suitability of shop drawings and submittals
Quote/qualify subcontractor requests for change orders
Track status of change orders
Track status of Requests for Information
Collect, verify, and distribute as-builts
Maintain project close-out documents
Assist with field supervision
Blueprint reading
Quantity take-offs
Sub-contractor solicitations
Correspondence
Quality Control
Subcontractor Coordination
Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Have knowledge of technology related to construction, such as Blue Beam, Revit, and Procore.
Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
Experience with computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing and scheduling is preferred.
4-year degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or Business is required.
Prior internship experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
Schedule Management: Assist in creating and updating project schedules using P6 software. Monitor and adjust schedules to meet project goals.
Contracts & Legal: Learn the basics of contract management and help draft subcontractor scopes of work and agreements.
External Relationships: Manage daily interactions with owners, architects, and subcontractors. Ensure their needs are met while following Forrester's policies.
Project Management: Support project management tasks by tracking submittals, RFIs, and change orders. Help manage project documentation and communication.
Financial Management: Understand and assist with project financials, including pay applications and monthly requisitions.
Field Operations: Provide field direction under supervision, coordinate material deliveries, and document project progress.
Safety Management: Follow safety protocols, complete required training, and address any safety issues on-site.
Business Development: Help prepare marketing materials, bid proposals, and contribute to business development activities.

Strategy: Align with Forrester's vision and goals, and understand their impact on project success.
Execution: Stay organized, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
Talent Management: Focus on continuous learning and career development.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in construction management or related internships.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic construction software.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
Must pass a background check and drug test.
Work Environment:
Ability to work in various conditions, including construction sites with potential noise and dust.
Salary Range: $68,000 - $85,000 annually
