Manage, create, and distribute contract documents; establish handling procedures for electronic documents (RFIs, correspondence)
Manage submittals: set up register, obtain customer/architect approval, prepare transmittal forms, coordinate packaging, review, and processing
Expedite submittals to align with project schedule; communicate submittal process details to subcontractors and suppliers
Incorporate processes and procedures for project closeout phase; define and implement procedures for posting revisions and updates to as-built construction documents
Mentor, manage, and evaluate field engineers; determine alternative work methods as needed
Coordinate safety and compliance for all team members; maintain schedule of timelines and ensure completion
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management
Minimum of three years related construction experience
Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively manage multiple tasks
Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills
Current driver's license

The base pay range for this role is $91,100MIN - $112,300MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.

The Project Engineer will lead the development of comprehensive engineering packages to support EPC contractors and key vendors. This role is pivotal in ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency across multiple high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of engineering package during FEED and Detailed Design phases of the project
Lead the development of requisitions for various process equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, mechanical solid handling equipment, piping, and valves
Serve as the technical liaison for suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Evaluate vendor proposals and subcontractor bids, leading the selection and negotiation process.
Coordinate multi-discipline reviews and timely approvals of vendor/subcontractor drawings, calculations, and documentation for compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards.
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors through all project stages-from design and fabrication to installation and commissioning.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Operations, QA/QC, and Finance.
