Key Responsibilities

Review, verify, and approve invoices associated with contracted design services
Track, analyze, and report project performance metrics, including schedule, budget, and quality KPIs
Manage and process project change orders, ensuring proper documentation and required approvals
Oversee permitting activities and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
Provide technical support by responding to field questions and facilitating timely issue resolution
Coordinate with Document Control to ensure AFC (Approved for Construction) documentation is properly maintained and distributed

Compensation

The Calibration Integration Engineer serves as both a program integrator and a calibration feature owner. The primary focus of this role is program leadership - coordinating timing, resources, release processes, and technical alignment across calibration domains.
The successful candidate will bring technical calibration expertise and strong leadership skills - a self-starter who can work independently, keep teams aligned, and drive issues to closure. In addition to coordinating program execution, the engineer will own a defined set of calibration features and maintain the technical depth required to deliver them. Flexibility is critical: while most of the job emphasizes integration and leadership, the engineer must also be able to step back into calibration work when program needs demand to support milestone delivery.
This is not a people-management role; the engineer will not directly supervise staff but will support resource planning by rolling up headcount and workload needs for current and future programs.
Core Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Integration
* Coordinate calibration program timing, track project classifications, and support workload and headcount rollups for program planning
* Track global issues, lead calibration risk assessments, and ensure timely escalation
* Ensure technical consistency across calibration domains (drivability, emissions, transmission, OBD, torque security)
* Manage R&D rollups (resources, vehicles, testing, RASI tracking) and coordinate road trips, mule builds, and AVL drive preparation
* Prepare and present milestone documentation
* Coordinate the calibration release process - schedule freezes, track dataset readiness, resolve cross-feature conflicts, and support sign-off/homologation documentation
* Interface with cross-functional partners (Quality, TVI, PR, Chief Engineers) and external contractors to ensure program readiness
Calibration Feature Ownership & Flexibility
* Own the development, validation, and release of assigned calibration features (e.g., torque delivery, catalyst light-off, idle, cold start, start/stop, thermal management)
* Analyze datasets to identify issues, resolve gaps, and optimize performance
* Ensure compliance with emissions and OBD regulations (EPA, CARB, global)
* Provide flexibility to support direct calibration work when needed, protecting timing and milestone delivery
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
* Minimum of 5 years of experience
* Direct experience owning a calibration feature from development through release
* Strong technical foundation in internal combustion engines, calibration principles, and emissions control
* Proficiency with calibration/data tools such as INCA and ETAS MDA (or equivalent), with hands-on experience developing and analyzing calibration features
* Familiarity with calibration release coordination processes, including freezes, integration, and sign-off support
