Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Sr. Principal RF Module Design/Development Engineer to join our Module Development Section with the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMS) Department as a technical lead. The AMS department designs, fabricates, and tests state-of-the-art Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) in our on-site foundry. These chips are designed into custom modules to support multiple programs and enhance the capabilities of next generation radar systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical design and development of RF/microwave modules containing GaAs- and GaN-based monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) products. This would be in active support of existing technologies in production as well as next generation products in development. This position requires a strong academic background and experience in RF/Microwave Design, Development, Integration & Test.
What You Will Do:
Designing RF structures and transitions on multi-layer, multi-channel RF Modules and analog circuitry enabling both receive and transmit behavior
Consulting across RF module design, MMIC design and assembly teams
Troubleshooting RF Modules that are prototyped and under development
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Field and Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience (An advanced STEM degree could count for 3 years of experience) with Microwave/RF module, subsystem and component analysis, design, and test

+ Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
+ Manage inspection and testing of the generator field and stator utilizing the latest technology. (MAGIC Jr. & Sr. inspection, Digital/Analog EL-CID, Flush and Bake skid (FAB), Quick skid, Capacitance Mapping, Tracer Gas, Vacuum Decay, Pressure Decay, 60 Hertz AC HIPOT test set, Wedge Tapping, Computer Based Reporting tool), Epoxy Injection, UT Flow, Hazmat training and other topics as business needs arise
+ Direct and manage repair or inspection procedures utilizing the latest electronic communication, references and documentation technologies.
+ Recognize, predict and document potential generator failures.
+ Present to the customer accurate generator quality issues as presented and selected by Generator Product Service and regional generator specialists.
+ Familiarity with Power Circuit Breakers, Protective Relay Systems, and AC and DC Motors / Generators
+ Working knowledge of basic electrical circuits and electrical troubleshooting
+ Working knowledge of prints/print reading, such as manufacturing drawings, P&IDs and schematic drawings
+ Participate as a Service Team member dedicated to Safety metrics.
+ Pre-outage planning; possibly recommending and administering policies and procedures
+ Execution of projects, including: generator field and stator rewinds, general generator repairs, and inspections
+ Support warranty administration and troubleshooting issues
+ May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization's core values.
**Required Qualifications & Experience** :
+ Engineering degree or equivalent.
+ Strong technical competence in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams.
+ Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments will be required.
+ English proficiency required.

+ Experience in Field Services or Power Generation.
+ Positive can-do attitude with the ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
+ Experience and training on Alstom, Siemens, GE Aeroderivative, or other OEM equipment

+ Prior project management experience

**Compensation and Benefits:**
The annual salary range for this position is $67,100.00 to $110,700.00. This is an exempt from overtime position. FieldCore benefits include insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability, and life), retirement savings, health and Wellness reimbursement, and a bonus or incentive program.
