Scope of Position:
As a Field Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC's business through the field commissioning of building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. Essential Job Functions:

The primary purpose of the Field Engineer is to evaluate and document current RHVAC and EMS (energy management systems) conditions for integration into supermarket capital projects. RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as a technical resource for all level 1 service providers.
Identify issues with critical HVACR equipment and provide detailed scope for repair or resolution of problems. Engage in repairs as approved by the client via Service Channel.
Assist in resolution of issues remotely or on site as to support level 1 service provider. This includes remedial repairs as identified while on-site. Delegation of repairs will be initiated by clients directly with CBES.
Maintain regular communication with all relevant parties relating to outstanding punch list items.
Support EMS (RHVAC) programming updates. Make changes and repairs as to support on-site inspections.
Provide detailed documentation and assessments of mechanical infrastructure, including custom-built and packaged air handling units, parallel compressor rack systems, energy management and building automation systems, and electrical components such as VFDs, relays, contactors, and transformers.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Visit locations that are under construction or remodel during the construction period to inspect progress on the project and ensure that installation and programming guidelines are being followed.
Develop a commissioning plan for each assigned project based on the plans and specifications provided by the EMS Engineering team.
Perform on-site commissioning tasks including point-to-point testing and verification of proper programming for all EMS controlled equipment.
Prepare interim reports of commissioning activity as required and a final report identifying all exceptions and/or out-of-spec conditions.
Make minor control wiring and programming changes as .
Work with Construction Project Manager to get all exceptions corrected.
