Our client is seeking a Telecom Engineer in Orlando, FL/Remote.
Responsibilities
• The position is responsible to design, development, documenting and implementing contact center telephony infrastructure and application projects on time and within budget. Work closely with vendors, outside expert resources, internal technical and business resources, to evaluate and propose innovative new technologies methodologies, processes and enhancements to improve the effectiveness of the organization. Ensure interoperability between the proposed solutions and other telecommunications such as desktop, networks, security and compliance. Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements. (40% time)
• The position works closely with our engineers, analysts, IT peers, outside vendors, outside expert resources, internal technical and business resources to evaluate, develop, and propose innovative new technologies, methodologies, processes, and other improvements aimed at improving the effectiveness of the organization. (25% time)
• This position maintains expert level understanding and knowledge of the company's applications, telecommunications and data system integration and must be able to understand changes needed within the environment to anticipate business, customer, cross-system, cross-process, and cross-project impacts. (20% time)
• Be accessible 24x7 to support the telecommunications infrastructure team to minimize the impacts of incidents, changes, upgrades, and installs on the function of the business and/or the contact center. (10% time)
• Performs other duties as needed (5% time)
Skills & Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, Telecommunications, or related technical field and/or related experience with 5+ years of experience.
• NICE CXOne or CCNA-Collaboration is preferred
• Good oral and written communication skills, ability to work long hours under pressure during system outages and implementations.
• Expert level technical expertise of NICE CXOne systems and management of complex telecommunications environments and infrastructures.
• Experience with multiple voice and call center technologies such as but not limited to voice systems, call center technologies, PBX, gateways, voice networks, ACD, voicemail, call recording, and ancillary support systems.
• Knowledge of WAN/LAN technologies and VoIP/SIP call routing technologies and protocols, including working knowledge of TCP/IP routers, SBC's, servers, switches, firewalls, DNS, DHCP and Citrix Desktop deployments.
• Proven ability to perform coordination and problem isolation
• Strong scripting and troubleshooting skills in contact center tech
• Strong documentation and communication abilities

Requirements:
Associate degree in industrial electrical, instrument and control, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic knowledge of alternating current (ac) and direct current (dc) theory andrelaying protection schemes.
Ability to:
Read and understand construction and manufacturer's drawings and specifications.
Read and understand schematic diagrams.
Utilize relay test sets to prove protective device settings. Familiarity with Doble Protest, SEL Acelerator, and ENOSERVE RTS a plus.
Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve problems in a timely manner, using sound judgment.

Attend job-site meetings and distribute project meeting minutes, keeping all team members informed.
Work with Project Management team to ensure that the highest levels of quality control are met. This
includes but is not limited to: checking embed placement and quality of concrete finish, collecting
quantitative data of production units, monitoring pours, and concrete pre-pour testing.
Follow up with the Project Manager on all open issues pertaining to the project. Attend meetings with
or as directed by the PM.
Scrub drawings ensuring the latest revisions are available to the production team. Maintain drawing
log.
Assist the PM regarding purchases and coding of invoices. Be familiar with the project's job cost
summary report.
Obtain and file copies of the Project Daily Report, Toolbox Safety talks and other related training in
the Project folder on the server.
Coordinate housing, furniture, and utilities setup on Projects out of town.
Assist the PM/Superintendent with coordinating all workers' comp injury processes including return
to work program, forwarding documents to the Safety Director and HR.
Be familiar with the use of (PJ) Timberline's Project Management module for the purpose of creating
Purchase Orders, Sub-Subcontracts, Submittals, RFIs, Change Requests and additions to the project's
correspondence log.
Add pertinent e-mail communication related to the project to Timberline's project correspondence
log.
Assist the PM/Superintendent regarding to safety related matters on the project. Conducts daily safety
walks.
Be familiar with the About Time software for clocking in/out team members. Assist the
Superintendent with resolving time and pay issues communicating with Payroll as needed.
Other tasks - getting familiar with Timberline's estimating module for the purpose of participating in
estimating of future projects
