Basic Knowledge of Network Devices such as Switches, Routers, Wireless Access Points preferably CISCO, Riverbed

Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to define, prepare, lead and execute projects, in line with business needs and project management methods and techniques. Ensure project objectives are met and conduct the conceptual design, development, cost estimation, execution and completion stages. Provide PLC troubleshooting support to site operations.

Functional excellence in HSE policies, project management, construction management and contractor management.
Executes applicable AkzoNobel policies, guidelines, processes, methodologies, working methods and systems.
Ensures projects and documentation are compliant with all local, state and national regulations (eg. OHSA PSM, NFPA, etc…).
Drives collaboration and engagement with all levels of the site for design, constructing and implementing improvement projects.
Ensures operator buy-in on process improvement projects.
Responsible for safe delivery of projects through correct management of contractors and third parties.
Effectively engages with key site stakeholders (and other levels) to manage expectations on site (handover, training).
Job Responsibilities

3-5 years of applicable project or process engineering experience, ideally in a paint or chemical factory

BASIC FUNCTION
Provide technical and design direction in the development of custom generator sets. Technical scope includes a working knowledge of thermodynamics, internal combustion engines, static and dynamic stress analysis as well as an understanding of electric theory. Collaborate with sales, application engineering, design engineering, procurement, and production teams to engineer and design customer specific generator sets. This role leads the engineering and CAD design efforts and is also responsible for delegating design tasks to CAD Design analysts and engineers as appropriate as well as consulting with the engineering simulation and regulatory teams, as necessary. Choose materials and components which result in high quality, high performance, and cost-effective generators. Research new and apply proven technology to utilize in the special designs. Must be capable of estimating the design duration and product cost related to the special design request. Position requires a self-motivated individual with a sense of urgency toward project completions and a drive to achieve engineering excellence through continuous improvement.
The position requires the ability to manage numerous project timelines, operating independently with limited guidance. Must be able to direct multiple projects or tasks, prioritize work and direct local and remote engineers and designers that support you on the project. Projects are expected to be completed with a high degree of quality and be completed on schedule and within financial commitments utilizing data-driven decisions made using decision support tools and critical thinking, including risk/reward trade-offs. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are utilized to communicate internally and occasionally with end users.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead CAD and engineering design, development, in the area of engineered special gensets, enclosures, options, and accessories and manage this through the engineering release process.
2. Provide technical recommendations to achieve the customer's request to the customer through the Sales channel. Regular interaction with the end customer.
3. Prioritize custom engineering orders that you are responsible for and assure timely completion through engineering to support the committed generator delivery date.
4. Develop moderately complex parametric components, assemblies, drawings, layouts, and specifications with sound understanding of the design intent and fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes when required.
5. Support and contribute information cross functionally and cross culturally to achieve desired process and diesel generator set design results.
6. Responsible for assuring Rehlko Service Center (RSC) is following the best modeling practices and are meeting the quality standards that have been established at Mosel
7. Work with electrical, controls and harness engineers to assure their design meets the customer's needs and integrate into the engineering specials package
8. Provide the liaison necessary to obtain and maintain production through fabrication and assembly departments.
9. Work with Purchasing and Buyers to ensure that purchased parts are clearly identified and ordered on time.
10. Examine and approve custom designs that are assigned to you.
11. Maintain schedule for assigned projects and deliver results on time. Be perceptive to risks and benefits required to investigate and correct design problems. Execute changes or modifications based on sound business judgment.
12. Initiate and support continual improvement initiatives to streamline internal business processes and support systems upgrades. Actively seek out inefficiencies in the custom order process to pursue continuous improvement opportunities.
13. Provide leadership to team members.
14. Support the sales teams efforts to win projects and customers, which will occasionally require preparing and presenting technical presentations and white papers.
15. Support the field service team on highly complex challenges at the customer site, providing technical solutions and troubleshooting recommendations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
CAD/3D Modeling Experience Required
ABET Accredited BSME (Bachelor of Science - Mechanical Engineering) and minimum of 7 years mechanical engineering experience with development of industrial or consumer products.
Or, MSME (Master of Science - Mechanical Engineering) and minimum of 5 years mechanical engineering experience with development of new consumer products.
Pursuit or completion of an MBA (Masters Business Administration) or MSEM (Masters Engineering Management) a plus.
Educational courses or experience related to internal combustion engines preferred
Power generation or genset experience a plus.
Demonstrated skills in project management and leadership as well as the ability to work in a team environment.

Job Summary:
A Project Engineer acts as a key member of project engineering team supporting the Food and Dairy Department in the successful and timely completion of assigned projects. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Participates in all phases of a project from initial customer meetings through pre-award sales support, cost estimation, proposal generation, engineering, commissioning and start up. Is responsible for specific technical areas of the project, specifying technical solutions and equipment which meet customer expectations/specifications within the time and budget constraints of the contract.
Adheres to design standards and optimization of engineering designs to meet customer specifications within project budgets.
Proactively anticipates technical, schedule, execution or commercial problems and exercises judgment to meet project commitments.
