Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a FieldEngineer with headquarters located in Escondido and San Diego, CA. SRK Engineering is looking for experienced candidates for the position of FieldEngineer or Project Engineer depending on experience. The FieldEngineer or Project Engineer will be responsible for daily field visits to monitor project performance and assist Foreman, providing technical support, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and assisting with project management.
Responsibilities
Assist Project Manager in various construction related work including but not limited to - submittals, schedules, project correspondence and meetings.
Manage compliance with standards and specifications for quality control assurance
Strong communication skills, correspond with owners, prime contractors, subcontractors, agencies, vendors and other stakeholders
Review project documents and become familiar with the contract, plans and specifications to execute the project effectively
Understand job budgets and production rates as they relate to returning a successful project
Participate in job forecasting quarterly
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, construction or related field or a minimum of 2 years of knowledge and experience with project management in construction specifically underground construction and other civil construction.

Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed digital takeoffs for grading, paving, concrete, and site improvement scopes.
Quantify materials including earthwork volumes, aggregate, asphalt, concrete, rebar, forms, and other related items.
Review plans, specifications, addenda, and RFI responses for changes that impact quantities. Prepare drawings and sketches to support change orders and estimates to meet changing job requirements.
Assist estimators with bid schedules, proposal preparation, and subcontractor/vendor quote comparison.
Organize and update takeoff files to ensure traceability and accuracy.
Work closely with Project Managers to assist with buyout, submittals, RFIs, schedules, and job startup documentation.

Alaska Overview
The Alaska segment primarily explores for, produces, transports and markets crude oil, natural gas and NGLs. We are the largest crude oil producer in Alaska and have major ownership interests in the Prudhoe Bay, Kuparuk and Western North Slope asset areas. Additionally, we are one of Alaska's largest owners of state, federal and fee exploration leases, with approximately one million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2024. Alaska operations contributed 14 percent of our consolidated liquids production and two percent of our consolidated natural gas production.
Willow Overview
Located on Alaska's North Slope in the National Petroleum Reserve (NPR-A), the Willow project is estimated to produce 180,000 barrels of oil per day at its peak. During construction, Willow is expected to create around 2,500 jobs, with a majority of labor provided by union workers. The development is estimated to create approximately 300 permanent jobs.
The economic impact of the Willow project will be sizable. According to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) estimates, Willow could generate between $8 billion and $17 billion in new revenue for the federal government, the state of Alaska, the North Slope Borough, and local communities. The initial phase of Willow development will include a new Willow Central Processing Facility, three drill sites, pipelines, roads, bridges, and supporting infrastructure.

Position Overview
This position serves as the ConocoPhillips Field Health, Safety and Environmental Lead supporting the Alaska Willow project. The role provides technical safety guidance and assistance to ensure a safe working environment that is consistent with HSE policies, procedures, directives, and guidelines.
Location: Alaska North Slope - 2-week on/2-week off rotational schedule.
Reports to: Willow HSE Director
Your responsibilities may include:
* Strong Safety Leadership and a commitment to developing an Incident Free Culture
* Identify safety risks, issues, and mitigation strategies - efficiently communicate to and with Willow Leadership Team
* Participate as required in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and project level risk assessments

* Assist in performance of Contractor HSE Management System audits
* Audit contractor's compliance related to the HSE Readiness Process
* Facilitate incident investigations and First Reports - assure all action items are completed in a timely manner per company policy
* Ensure that incident reports, rates, and incident trends are current and available for review by the project team
* Provide training to project management team on safety processes, policies, directives, and procedures
* Serve as Willow representative during regulatory agency inspections
* Liaise with each contractor's HSE staff in implementation of Willow requirements
* Assist in Predictive Indicator Tool process for each contractor
* Assure action items from self or corporate compliance audits are addressed in a timely manner
* Interact with the medical group, as needed, to properly classify injuries or illnesses
* Consult with other COPA safety professionals to ensure consistent application of health and safety programs
* Provide work direction for contingent HSE Professionals, security and medical staff
* Interact with remote medical clinics to ensure proper care of injuries and illnesses
* Assist or lead, as needed, Taproot incident investigations. Review and approval of final investigation reports
* Review lift plans and make recommendations to Lift Engineer
Basic/Required:

CompTIA A+, Microsoft Windows, Apple mac OS certification, Cisco Certifications not required but would be a plus
Proficient in a recent version of Microsoft Office suite
Must have valid driver's license & reliable transportation. The majority of work is to be done at client offices across the Anaheim, CA area (mileage will be reimbursed) with some work to be done from your home.
This position is eligible for a base salary ($27 - $31 USD hourly) plus bonus.
