Summary:
The selected engineer will support operational activities at our customer Operations Center (OC). Staff will be assigned to provide 24/7 operational support to SDA's Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) Transport Layer. The PWSA Transport Layer will provide multi-band global communications access and persistent encrypted connectivity for warfighter missions.
Staff will be required to work shifts and weekends and be on-site at the government customer facilities.
Staff will be working in a highly dynamic environment with multiple government customers and partner organizations to provide critical warfighter capabilities.
REQUIRED: Up to 6 months of Training at our headquarters in Greenwood Village, CO
REQUIRED: After completion of training, you must be willing to relocate and work in our facility in Grand Forks, ND full-time
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform on-console tasks for real-time operations and anomaly investigations for multiple missions
Develop and execute Procedures for mission operations and Spacecraft mission planning
Respond to anomalies, software issues/failures for both ground and space assets
Trend and monitor telemetry
Monitor health and safety of space and ground segments
Support mission integration into the operations center
Support Mission Planning activities for the PWSA constellation
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to quickly learn new software and technical subjects
Familiarity with Python
Excellent organization and communication skills
Ability to work well in both a team environment and executing individual tasks
Previous experience in satellite operations or satellite mission planning
Ability to regularly work off hours, weekends and holidays; shift work required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

This position will receive daily tasking and prioritization from their site lead. The selected candidate will be responsible for operations and maintenance support of the MQ-4C Triton network and communications systems at a Forward Operating Base (FOB).
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Provide real time support for flight operations and maintenance, addressing any issues related to communications and networking to include fault isolation, remediation, and resolution.
+ Perform field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of communications and data link systems in military flight test environment, including operations on a flightline, in a hangar, and in command-and-control centers.
+ Adherence to checklists and procedures to ensure repeated success and providing redlines to procedures when necessary.
+ Communicate complex technical issues to local support, the Degrader Action Cell (DAC), Main Operation Bases (MOBs), and Responsible Engineers (REs).
+ Support and lead air crew engagement for proper techniques in solving complex analysis of technical problems that arise during operations.
+ Assist with trend analysis as needed for Responsible Engineers (REs).
+ Perform/support review and analysis of supplier design data and definition of functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration.
+ Take responsibility for the testing, maintenance, and integration of Comms and Networks equipment to include radio terminals, software loads, switches, routers, and firewalls required to support ground and flight test operations.
+ Work with system admins, maintainers, and onsite personnel to troubleshoot and repair any internal operational issues.
** The selected candidate will be put on a temporary Domestic Assignment and will report to our San Diego, CA site daily prior to international deployment while clearance(s), Visa(s), and other documents are processing. The employee will go through training in San Diego during this period. **
**The expected timeline before deployment is 3-4 months but this will vary.**
Initially, this position will work a 9/80 shift. **As the program matures, the shifts may become 12-hour shifts that could include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Field and Laboratory Work
Perform field and laboratory quality control testing of soils in accordance with AET QA/QC procedures and industry standards (ASTM, ASIC, ACI).
Conduct geotechnical field testing, soil boring layout/documentation, utility clearance meetings, and surveying.
Complete field sampling of materials, including coring and hand auger borings.
Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), and Geoprobe sampling units.
Log and classify soil samples in the field or laboratory as needed.
Assist in training less experienced personnel in routine field work and documentation.
Reporting and Communication
Prepare detailed reports of field and laboratory work using standard AET forms.
Document site observations and maintain accurate job files.
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, contractors, and other project personnel to ensure project requirements are met.
Complete tasks in accordance with project quality requirements and deadlines.
Compliance and Safety
Conduct all activities in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as AET's QA and Health & Safety Policies.
Maintain valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; comply with DOT regulations if required.

The Weitz Company is hiring a Field Engineer to join our traveling Industrial team! The Field Engineer will assist in the supervision of field work performed by Weitz and/or our subcontractors. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in becoming a Superintendent in the future.

What Youll Do:
Participate in the development of the project plan and ensure proper execution
Make recommendations to the supervisor for design or other changes that will enhance the quality of the project, reduce operating and maintain costs, improve the scheduled completion, and/or decrease construction costs
Assist Superintendent with equipment review and planning
Assist Superintendent with pre-construction meetings with appropriate subcontractors prior to their start in the field
Maintain and protect all tools, equipment, and materials on the jobsite
Assist Superintendent with site logistics and cleanup to present a professional image to the public
Maintain accurate cost reporting and respond to RFIs
Assist the Superintendent, as needed, in developing, updating, and maintaining the project schedule
Document all delays and inform Superintendent
Assist in monitoring the field performance for all aspects of the project including subcontractors, employees, consultants, schedules, quality, and costs
Maintain routine relations with owners and architects representatives. Major disputes or problems encountered are discussed with appropriate Supervisor
Set up, organize, read, communicate, and update project schedules
What Were Looking For:
Experience:
1-2 years of experience as a Project Engineer, other construction-related role, or related internship experience
Industry related degree or coursework is a plus
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret construction documents
Knowledge of construction methods and materials
High level of initiative and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented and highly organized

Job Summary
Field Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the Construction Services Division by assisting engineers and technicians with project duties in the field. This position is responsible for supporting engineering projects, performing laboratory testing, and conducting field observation of construction materials, ensuring accurate data collection and reliable project outcomes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset, and contribute to the division's mission of delivering high-quality construction services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Field and Laboratory Work
Perform field and laboratory quality control testing of soils in accordance with AET QA/QC procedures and industry standards (ASTM, ASIC, ACI).
Conduct geotechnical field testing, soil boring layout/documentation, utility clearance meetings, and surveying.
Complete field sampling of materials, including coring and hand auger borings.
Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), and Geoprobe sampling units.
Log and classify soil samples in the field or laboratory as needed.
Assist in training less experienced personnel in routine field work and documentation.
Reporting and Communication
Prepare detailed reports of field and laboratory work using standard AET forms.
Document site observations and maintain accurate job files.
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, contractors, and other project personnel to ensure project requirements are met.
Complete tasks in accordance with project quality requirements and deadlines.
Compliance and Safety
Conduct all activities in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as AET's QA and Health & Safety Policies.
Maintain valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; comply with DOT regulations if required.
Maintain appropriate physicals if required for position.
Properly use and maintain company instruments and equipment.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with laboratory maintenance and improvement efforts.
Maintain high chargeable productivity and coordinate with other staff to increase efficiency and communication.
Establish and maintain positive business relationships with clients; assist with marketing functions as needed.
Frequent travel within regional area; occasional out-of-town travel (up to 75%), nights, or weekends.
Perform other duties as necessary to meet departmental and company goals.
Required Qualifications and Education
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field.
0-3 years of experience in an engineering or science related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Solid understanding of engineering or scientific principles and ability to apply them in practice.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
Ability to perform field work at construction or remediation sites, including sampling, operating instruments, following procedures, and documenting activities.
Strong communication skills to clearly convey technical information to diverse audiences.
Effective teamwork and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently in the field.
Physically capable of performing labor-intensive tasks, including lifting 50-100 lbs and conducting hand auger borings.
Engineer in Training (EIT) and ability to achieve professional registration (PE).
Internship or previous work experience preferred, but not mandatory.
Work Environment
This job primarily operates primary in a field environment in outdoor conditions, on construction sites with uneven ground and adverse weather conditions. This role secondary operates in an office environment and uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Pay Transparency
Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $27.00 - $29.00 per hour based on skill set and experience.
