Our FieldEngineers ensure customers' experiences with Scale's technology are seamless and optimized to build a successful, long-term partnership. FieldEngineers partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations to lead existing customers through building production-grade data pipelines. We do this by knowing our customer's use-cases inside and out, and creating the tooling and documentation needed to scalably support their growth.
FieldEngineers in general are experts on Scale's products and codebase, and have general technical knowledge on web development, using APIs, and working with large volumes of data. FieldEngineers are strong relationship builders, great project managers, and always fun to work with.
The ideal person is a software engineer generalist who enjoys working with clients directly, taking ambiguous requirements and issues, and quickly designing and building sustainable solutions in close collaboration with the Product and Engineering teams. This role is at the intersection of customer delivery, product, and engineering, giving you a breadth of experience and fully leveraging both sides of your brain. You will:
Implement end-to-end data integrations, syncing customer's data to Scale's platform and back
Work closely with our customer's engineering teams to optimize data pipelines, including providing input towards designing API endpoints and input/output schemas
Design, develop and maintain playbooks, internal tools, Scale's documentation and SDKs to quickly get customers set up for long-term success
Partner with Software Engineers and Operations to remove any technical hurdles customers may face / Debug technical issues impacting delivery and own technical escalations coming from the customer
Be accountable for the customer's technical experience throughout their time with Scale
Work with AEs and PMs to identify customer-specific feature requests
Develop technical domain expertise in areas of Large Language Models, 2D Image Annotation, and working with API integrations
Evangelize Scale and interact with customers at major events
Have an active TS/SCI clearance
Ideally you'd have:
Track record of success as a hybrid customer-facing engineer or similar function, wearing multiple hats along the way
Prior technical hands-on experience working with clients in a pre or post-sales capacity to realize business goals
Prior experience developing with Python and JavaScript, or other modern software languages
Strong engineering background preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields
Strong project management and interpersonal skills
Presentation skills with a high degree of technical credibility when speaking with executives and front-line engineers
High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations

ABOUT YOU
8+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or data science roles, with a proven track record of designing and implementing ML systems at consumer tech scale and speed.
Extensive hands-on experience integrating ML and AI methods into production workflows, including creating evaluation tooling and effective user feedback mechanisms to support rapid product development cycles and systematic model evaluation.

Job Description
The Key Lead is responsible for ensuring all customers receive quality in-store experience. They do this by acting as the Floor Supervisor, providing guidance and coaching to Brand Reps and Stock Associates ensuring store operations are running effectively. The Key Lead is part of the store leadership team, responsible for driving store performance on the floor through customer experience and team achievement of daily sales.

Job Summary
The Telecom Engineer role will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and management of all call routing within Lightpath. The engineer will need to work independently to ensure compliance with industry updates and guidelines. Ensuring the highest call completion ratios and optimal routing for both inbound and outbound calls via Lightpath's voice peering partners. The role will also participate in ongoing network architecture discussions around voice routing and trunking solutions.
Responsibilities
Manage telecom routings to ensure proper call routing and completion.
Utilize industry standard LERG database to identify routing updates.
Design, implement, and maintain call routing policies across all switching platforms.
Contribute to telecom engineering and planning strategies for network enhancements.
Utilize knowledge of call routing techniques to ensure the most efficient use of resources.
Communicate complex technical and business issues/updates effectively summarizing issues for technical and senior management.
Represent Telecom Engineering as Subject Matter Expert (SME) during cross-functional initiatives with other teams.
Appropriately respond to and successfully deliver any and all ad hoc requests made by management.
Required to work outside of normal shift hours based on the needs of the business to include On-Call Coverage.
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience in telecom routing and translations.
Expert knowledge surrounding call routing and translations management on Lucent 5ESS and Metaswitch CFS.
Extensive knowledge of telecom hardware and carrier-based services (i.e.: PSTN Interconnection, Centrex, Hosted Voice, Enterprise Trunking).
Knowledge of the principles of traffic engineering, i.e.: Erlang calculations, trunk ratios, and network architectural technology.
Working knowledge of network signaling protocols (SS7, SIGTRAN, ISUP, SIP, H.248).
Strong problem-solving skills including root cause analysis, defining options for resolutions, and the ability to clearly articulate the options to internal technical and business individuals and third-party vendors.
Demonstrate initiative to build relationships both internally and externally with minimal supervision/direction from management with proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects as well as lead small and or large, directed projects.
Network troubleshooting skills using tools such as ping and traceroute. Circuit (T1, PRI's Ethernet; etc.) troubleshooting and testing.
The ability to provide written documentation of complex technical issues/resolutions effectively summarize findings as well as business case preparation including RFI/RFPs. Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical end-users.
Must have excellent PC skills. Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite software as well as Visio preferred.

Typical projects include bridge and culvert rehabilitations and replacements, retaining wall design, miscellaneous structural design for transportation infrastructure, and construction engineering support.
