Kiewit's South Central District is one of Kiewit's leading infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, transportation, and water resource markets. Although most of our work is regionally based in the south-central region of the United States, we also pursue various projects stretching across the United States. Location
Kiewit's South Central District has a home office in Westlake, Texas but leads work all over Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Responsibilities
FieldEngineering:
* Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
* Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work
* Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages
* Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data
* Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets
* Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's)
* Assist in providing solutions related to construction operations
* Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training
* Order and schedule material deliveries
* Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite
* Supervise field operations
Office Engineering:
* Perform material takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other contract documents
* Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations
* Assist engineers to gather and prepare data for submittal or transmittal to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal use
* Participate in the preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts, performing minor solicitations and purchasing as requested
* Schedule maintenance and performing updates as directed by others
* Assist in the maintenance of basic project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, requests for information (RFIs), and memorandums
* Enter data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with jobsite management
* Assist in generating change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the Project Manager
* Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations
Estimating:
* Assist in reviewing and analyzing historical data relative to the project, incorporating various productions and costs appropriate in preparation of a bid
* Complete a plan and specification review for an assigned project, assessing the risk areas and bringing them to the attention of the Senior Estimator
* Complete material and quantity takeoffs according to bid documents
Qualifications
* Willingness to travel and relocate to small and large cities as business requires as we operate on a national scale
* Associates, Undergraduate, or Graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field
* Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience is preferred
* Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a wide-ranging climates and environments
* Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative

This position will receive daily tasking and prioritization from their site lead. The selected candidate will be responsible for operations and maintenance support of the MQ-4C Triton network and communications systems at a Forward Operating Base (FOB).
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Provide real time support for flight operations and maintenance, addressing any issues related to communications and networking to include fault isolation, remediation, and resolution.
+ Perform field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of communications and data link systems in military flight test environment, including operations on a flightline, in a hangar, and in command-and-control centers.
+ Adherence to checklists and procedures to ensure repeated success and providing redlines to procedures when necessary.
+ Communicate complex technical issues to local support, the Degrader Action Cell (DAC), Main Operation Bases (MOBs), and Responsible Engineers (REs).

Key Responsibilities
1. Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and other work tasks and assists with or reviews and processes submittals, change orders, RFl's, and budget forecasting. Ensures the timely and appropriate generation, collection, distribution, storage, retrieval and ultimate disposition of meeting agendas, RFl's and daily reports.
2. Demonstrates an understanding of the project management plan (PMP) and is involved in support and execution of the plan. POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Engineer contributes technical knowledge in the evaluation, selection, and application of standard engineering techniques for the purpose of designing/drafting and/or modifying natural gas transmission pipelines and distribution systems. This position is responsible for assisting with all preliminary and technical engineering design work, project management, project permitting, and safe implementation of natural gas systems and projects within the Summit Utilities family of companies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Associate Engineer will be responsible for assisting engineering staff in the following areas:
Performs day-to-day project duties producing construction document deliverables for natural gas system projects.
Utilizes Autodesk/Civil 3D and/or other software platforms to create and edit applicable natural gas system construction drawings, civil engineering site plans, detail drawings, and mapping.
Gas Modeling - assists with modeling of natural gas systems using company Gas Modeling Software (in house training provided).
Reviews industry and company design standards, regulations and material specifications and apply knowledge to system designs, calculations, and details; collects and researches industry and vendor data and analyzes information to pioneer feasible solutions; reviews design calculations and drawings with peers and modifies designs when necessary.
Performs occasional field work to perform construction review for compliance with company standards.
Assists with preparation and revision of construction specifications, contract documents, easement documents, and various permitting applications.
Permitting - Works closely with engineering staff and local managers to clearly and accurately identify and fulfill necessary permit requirements for gas systems projects (State DOT, USFS, COE, Railroad, City/County ROW, storm water, etc.). This may require periodic on-site monitoring and reporting, as well as coordination and planning with outside agencies and consultants as needed.
Project Management - Assists with management of project budgets and scheduling and creates Construction Execution Plans for scopes of work.
Rights - Of - Way/Easements - Works at the request of engineering management and local managers to accurately research property ownership information and develop acquisitions of any private rights-of-way necessary for construction work.
Assists with preparation and drafting of easement documents.
Works to help track easement acquisition progress and payments.
Record Keeping - Responsible for accurate record keeping related to installation and monitoring of gas systems, including but not limited to pipeline inspections and excavations, as built drawings, and easements. This involves coordination with the Company's Asset Data department and may require periodic data entry.
Performs occasional field work to evaluate site conditions, including the use and training of GPS equipment.
Coordination with multiple Company departments (Operations, Construction, Sales, Legal, GIS Regulatory, and Accounts Payable).
Other duties as assigned by Manager of Engineering.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) from ABET accredited University in engineering.

Demonstrated technical and analytical capability.
Proficient computer skills working with Microsoft Office, Autodesk/Civil-3D, and various modeling/simulation programs. This includes the ability to receive and immediately implement training on new software.
