Primary Purpose of Position
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations while acting as a resource and technical expert to engineers. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement and as a subject matter expert when consulted to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
Directly fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations
Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles.

Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and participation in regulatory audits.
Using tank integrity inspection and analysis tools such as API-Risk Based Inspection to determine the extent of required inspections, and overall inspection strategies.
Data Integration & Management. Facilitating Tank Integrity data integration within Buckeye's GIS database, Corrosion Control database, or other applications.
Risk Management & Mitigation. Managing risk analyses and developing risk prevention/ mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement. Identifying and involving stakeholders (both internal and external to Tank Integrity) for key decisions and preparing Management of Change (MOC) work orders for tank operations-related activities or procedure revisions, as required.
Project/Program Management. Developing budgets and monitoring maintenance forecasts and expenditures related to the Tank Integrity Programs.
Department Support. Providing support for Asset Integrity Team members.

Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, or chemical engineering or related field is required.
Experience: Typically, 3-6+ years of relevant experience.
Special skills: Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications required.
A customer focused attitude and demonstrated ability to function as a team player.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory codes relating to tank integrity management is required.
Travel Requirements: 10% travel possible.
Certificates & Licenses:
Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer certification is highly desirable.
