Role Purpose
We are looking for a full-time, on-site Field Engineer for a project located in Raleigh, NC!
As a Field Engineer you will be responsible for obtaining, evaluating and coordinating all information needed to construct the project in accordance with the contract documents. You will become familiar with the life cycle of a project, working with various project teams, and working on the responsibilities outlined below.
Responsibilities
Perform line and grade work for building layout and control as required.
Assist in the implementation of the site safety program as required and ensure subcontractors' compliance with Thomas' safety standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
Assist in the maintenance of contract documents and electronic web-based documents for field operations.
Assist in the preparation of daily reports, project's RFI and submittals.
Review contract drawings, specifications and drawings to ensure proper coordination and execution.
Assist in completing the project close-out activities
Assist in the preparation of project builds.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or other related fields.
Intern or co-op experience with a general contractor.
Demonstrate understanding of building processes and systems.
Previous experience working in Microsoft Office Suite and Procore.
Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor styles to match the audience.
