The Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering inputs integral to both small and large-scale hydro and dam projects. You will lead and mentor teams, support management of production and coordinate delivery of engineering work products often with multi-disciplinary project team members and external stakeholders. About You
To fill the role, we're looking for an applicant to bring forward a good mix of qualifications and previous experiences. Some highlights should include:

RESPONSIBILITIES
Preconstruction
Attend onsite and offsite design meetings with clients, consulting firms and/or engineers, and record meeting minutes
Assist in the preparation of all necessary bid requests for design professionals as may be necessary
Collaborate with Preconstruction Assistant and drafters to communicate design information and/or specific client requests as needed
In early budgeting phase and final/hard bid scenarios, coordinate subcontractor bids, including preparing bid invitations, reviewing incoming bids for scope and pricing, scheduling site visits with subcontractors to review the scope of projects, acquiring best pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, and developing bid presentations
Manage RFP process inclusive of pre-bid RFI tracking and document control
Create and prepare takeoffs, estimates, and proposals for Project Manager review effectively with the right amount of detail and explanation of individual components of the budget and identify deficiencies in scope coverage
