Summary:
Responsible for providing installation, technical repair and service work in the field or at the hub for equipment and systems, including ensuring equipment in trailers does not interfere with the safety of operation of the trucks and trailers on roadways. Lead or assist with the installation and servicing of medical imaging equipment and provide assistance to Service Engineers, Technicians as well as Apprentices. Repair, replace or install parts and devices with expertise as required.
Essential Functions:

Independently complete full mobile unit load inspection to ensure secure road safety, including PET-CT and Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) secured to specifications, in addition to checking electrical system for fire hazards and safe operation, quarterly or at least bi-annually, or sooner if problems arise. Exercise discretion to identify whether repairs are needed and, if so, what repairs to make.
Complete safety checklist of mobile unit inspection to identify any abnormalities, weekly for local units, or at least 5-6 times per year for remote units. Exercise discretion to identify whether repairs are needed and, if so, what repairs to make.
Perform trouble shooting and field repairs.
Provide phone support for customers and CII clinical staff regarding technical issues in a professional and friendly manner.
Prepare/perform equipment Preventive Maintenance according to specification and documentation.
Submit and fill out all required paperwork and service reports in a timely manner, no later than 48 hours.
Preparing equipment for customer installation, including staging system and testing for functionality including Packing, for PET/CT system, PET system, CT system, elution system, computer, laptop, dose calibrator, blood pressure monitor, ECG system, and systems for image data transfer.
Parts testing at hub locations.
Leading installation and deinstalls as required.
Support team members especially service technicians and service apprentices in their trouble shooting, training and guidance for field repairs or preventive maintenance.
Find spare parts if needed or support Inventory specialist in parts acquisition.
Conduct training classes for existing or new equipment service.
Inspect and report irregularities, cleanliness, defects of CII assets, including mobile and fixed sites.
Maintain tools and calibration requirements.
Always adhere to safety procedures.
Travel up to 80% of the time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide support for intervention systems in areas including assembly, testing, repair, and maintenance.

Provide input for the continued improvement of existing processes and assets. Contribute to the development of new techniques and technology in support of subsea operations.

**Responsibilities**
FieldEngineering:
- Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision

Your Role as a FieldEngineer
Thompson Thrift is looking for a motivated and detail-driven FieldEngineer to be the heartbeat of our on-site operations. In this dynamic role, you'll play a key part in keeping projects on track, on time, and on budget-ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine from the ground up.
As our go-to person on-site, you'll be involved in every phase of the construction process, coordinating teams, tackling challenges, and supporting smooth execution day in and day out. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love being where the action is, this is the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with the project team to monitor project safety, cost, scheduling, quality control, and punch list completion.
Completing, updating, and correctly filing quality control checklists.
Assisting with the coordination of material deliveries as directed by site management.
Coordinating and take responsibility for the successful completion of specific trades or scopes of work performance from their start of work through final punch.
Overseeing and providing day-to-day guidance to subcontractors and their hourly trade employees.
Assisting with punch process as directed by site management.
Assisting as needed with the daily reporting of subcontractor headcount on the worksite for each of the required construction trades.
Ensuring job site safety by policing and assisting with clean-up.
Submitting notifications of inadequate cleanup with pictures to responsible subcontractor and ensuring situations are resolved.
Taking pictures as needed of construction progress on a daily/weekly basis and saving them in the appropriate job files.
Assisting the project team in any capacity directed.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience: At least 1 year of construction experience required. Relevant internships or equivalent hands-on experience in construction may also be considered to meet this requirement.
Foundational knowledge of construction terminology, processes, and plan reading.
Exposure to construction scheduling, cost tracking, and job site safety practices.
Proficient with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore or similar construction software is a plus.
Strong communication skills-both written and verbal-with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Self-motivated with a proactive attitude, problem-solving skills, and a strong desire to learn and grow within the company.
Receptive to feedback and able to follow through on direction to ensure tasks are completed effectively.

Travel Requirements
Willing to travel anywhere in North America >90% of the time. Schedule is dependent upon project work and is flexible to the degree it can be. This is worked out on a case by case basis with your assigned project manager. PTO scheduled in advance can and will be accommodated.
Does NOT require relocation to a Vertiv headquarter or regional office at this time.
This is “project work” which typical projects last anywhere from 3-12 months on average. It can vary based on schedule and progress.
Options for downtime (i.e. in between projects), employee can take PTO, training, regional work, and “home office” work.
Typical schedule is to work 8-12 weeks and then 1 weeks back at “home base” depending on project schedule. This varies based on the phase of the project.

Yorktel is currently seeking a Senior FieldEngineer who will install, commission, and manage the technical aspects of large scale commercial networked Audio/Visual Presentation and Videoconferencing systems. This position regularly works within a project team of individuals with varying responsibilities, degrees of expertise and influence.
This position reports directly to the Director of Yorkforce. The Director of Yorkforce will provide direction and support to the Sr. FieldEngineer. The Sr. FieldEngineer will help determine best strategy for remediation of any variation to client requirements and/or technical variables which may inhibit successful completion of any project or effort. The Director of Yorkforce will also support the Sr. FieldEngineer on career development and escalation issues.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Communicate to stakeholders, any client, site and/or project specific issues, make recommendations to the PMO in regard to such issues and ensure agreed upon resolution of issues.
* Regularly communicate answers to complex questions and respond to detailed inquiries regarding technical issues and the resolutions thereof.
* Handles and is expected to protect all internal and external confidential information and must utilize discretion and judgment based on company policies and procedures.
* Communicate daily technical and site specific information to the project team in a comprehensive, thorough and detailed manner.
* Daily interaction with clients and job sites to document customer requirements and job site conditions.
* Provide any and all post installation documentation, including red lined drawings, network information, MAC addresses, etc... back to Project Management.
* Be capable of working effectively and efficiently with support from other members of the engineering team.
* Maintain complete and accurate project documentation and records.
* Communicate effectively with internal staff, client representatives, cooperative trades and subcontractors.
* Daily oversight of subcontractors and other installation engineers.
* Be responsible for successfully completing assignments on time and within budget and communicate effectively to the project team if budget and/or timeline is in jeopardy.
* Conform to company technical standards and practices.
* Correctly interpret multiple formats of technical specifications; schematic drawings and architectural diagrams.
* Knowledge of and adherence to Yorktel policies and procedures.

Technical Job Responsibilities:
* Lead the installation, replacement and/or configuration of integrated system components, networked Video Conferencing Codecs, networked A/V Control Systems and networked Audio DSP Devices
* Test and commission the final installation of entire system prior to Client handover including proper installation, set-up, calibration and operation of DSP-based audiovisual components and networked AV control systems
* Daily communication with the Project Management Team of project status including immediate communication of any issues which may impact successful, timely completion of project
* Audio system calibration, including AEC and RF systems
* Display calibration for color, EDID and others.
* Perform hands on Client training upon completion of project
* Ensure Customer Acceptance Form is signed and sent back to Project Management upon Client sign off of job completion
* Ensure all 'red lined' engineering drawings are completed and returned upon completion of project.
* Provide post-installation support in transition to Yorktel tech services departments
* All other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Knowledge of video/audio conferencing service standards.
* Knowledge of audiovisual, videoconferencing and IT products and applications.

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Area Service Manager, the Field Technical Engineer is responsible for performing OEM service and installations of medical devices. Performs skilled technical work in the repair, preventative maintenance and upgrades of OEM medical devices or systems. Documents and maintains accurate records of inspections, repairs, calibrations and work performed on all equipment. Must be proficient on either Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD) or Ultrasound (UL) equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the installation and service of OEM medical devices which will include electrical, mechanical and software components.
Complete scheduled preventive maintenance, unplanned maintenance and perform any required equipment upgrades.
Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through service excellence.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of records of all installations and deinstallations, repairs and maintenance and of all regulatory compliance paperwork.
Train customers on basic operation and use of medical devices.
Manage inventory, keep accurate records, and return unused and failed parts promptly.
Perform PM's on time, provide expeditious on-site response and minimize equipment downtime.
Respond to customer inquiries in written form (with managerial approval), in person, or via telephone as needed.
Escalate customer issues and unresolved product problems to service management in a comprehensive and timely manner.
Promote service contract offerings and assist Sales in selling service agreements to customers within your assigned territory
Provide on-call service coverage on a rotating basis, as needed.

Familiarity with the use of common electronic test equipment including Digital Multi-Meters and safety analyzers.

Valid driver's license, good driving record and must be able to pass a motor vehicle record check.
