Fleet Engineer The Fleet Engineer supports the Assistant Port Engineer in the maintenance, repair, and regulatory compliance of all American Cruise Lines' (ACL) certificated vessels and launches. The Fleet Engineer provides immediate response for critical repairs to the portion of the ACL fleet assigned, to ensure the vessels remains safe and on schedule. The Fleet Engineer must be familiar with all vessel machinery, equipment and systems. They thrive in a fast paced and a team oriented environment. They get excited about construction projects as well as completing assignments on time. An individual who will do well in this position is self oriented, organized, a great communicator, and approachable. Comfortable working within a team environment at the project site. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS Performs routine duties requiring knowledge of basic engineering principles. Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work. Performs specific and limited portions of broader assignments.Being able to communicate with subs and vendors and being able to identify and help solve any discrepancies. Knowledge of Submittal/RFI/Change process/Purchase Orders. Willing to wear a hard hat, boots and safety glasses (PPE) for field coordination/craft communication and daily field walks. Willing to work collaboratively and respectfully within a team environment.
