Full-time Description Reporting to the Area Service Manager, the Field Technical Engineer is responsible for performing OEM service and installations of Bone Mineral Density (BMD) medical devices. Performs skilled technical work in the repair, preventative maintenance and upgrades of OEM medical devices or systems. Documents and maintains accurate records of inspections, repairs, calibrations and work performed on all equipment. Must be proficient on either Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD) or Ultrasound (UL) equipment. Willing to train. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the installation and service of OEM medical devices which will include electrical, mechanical and software components. Complete scheduled preventive maintenance, unplanned maintenance and perform any required equipment upgrades. Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through service excellence. Ensure accurate and timely completion of records of all installations and deinstallations, repairs and maintenance and of all regulatory compliance paperwork. Train customers on basic operation and use of medical devices. Manage inventory, keep accurate records, and return unused and failed parts promptly. Perform PM's on time, provide expeditious on-site response and minimize equipment downtime.
