Position Description:
The Field Engineer (FE) works directly for the Superintendent and is expected to exercise judgment and discretion in making recommendations, implementing policies and procedures and handling a wide variety of matters in the field. The position is normally, but not necessarily preparatory to becoming an Office Engineer or Project Engineer. The primary purpose of the position is to proactively aid the Superintendent in front-line field management. In addition, the position requires a considerable amount of work, responsibility, persistence, problem solving ability and good attitude, because the FE is responsible for the majority of the layout on a project, supervision of trade workers and subcontractor employees, as well as lift drawings, safety, and quality control responsibilities. Although the majority of a Field Engineer's time will be spent in the field, there are some duties which will require work in the field office. This is a safety sensitive position.
Position Qualifications:
* A 4 -year degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture or Construction Management.
* Valid Driver's License.
* Strong communication skills.
* Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, ProjectSight, Primavera and AutoDesk Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Past internships in the construction industry are preferred, but not required.
Essential Duties:
* Project layout (surveying) in conformance with design and contract documents.
* Check concrete forms for accuracy and adequacy of construction, including all embedded items, before placement of concrete.
* Perform production trend analysis for quantities of work in place and report for the weekly and monthly schedule and cost control reports.
* Assist with quality control, site safety initiatives and coordination of trade partners as delegated by the project superintendent. May include directing a small work force to gain supervisory experience.
* Coordinate material deliveries by checking material requirements in advance and comparing with the delivery status. Additionally, inspect materials delivered to the job for quantity, quality and condition, and report on missing and/or damaged items.
* Assist foremen and trade partners with interpretation of plans and specifications.
* Oversight of trade partners, as assigned, and direction of workforces (e.g., a labor crew) of employees or trade partner employees to gain supervisory experience.
* Participate in jobsite safety meetings, weekly safety audits, etc.
* Collaborate with the VDC team on VDC scope of work, execution plan and deliverables related to field operations. Review and navigate within the current 3D model viewing and scheduling software.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and ensure all employees and contractors are working in compliance with all Mine and MSHA safety guidelines and procedures.
Ensure all activities are compliant with Company policies and procedures, federal and state regulations as well as local regulatory agencies.
Strong collaboration and communication of plans and designs with various stakeholders.
Supervise and control the design of the drilling platforms, ensuring compliance with safety and operation standards.

Develop technical studies to ensure high performance of drill and blast process in a sustainable way, considering fragmentation, fines percentages, vibration analysis and damage criteria as PPV critical, pre-split filter, among others.
Connecting with Geotechnical engineer to develop modeling blasting units in the ore deposit.
Participate actively in the mine sequence review in different scope of mine planning process, ensuring feasibility and acceptable achievable level of this sequence, considering:
Different types of blast (trim, production, secondary and pre-split),
Typical stages of the D&B process to mine properly (Patter dimensions, timing to generate patterns, timing to drill patterns, blasting and loading interaction).
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge
5 to 10 years of mining experience.
Mine Engineering or similar degree.
Knowledge of drill-blast-load-haul open pit mining sequence is preferred.
Prior experience in a copper operation strongly preferred.

Position/Project Overview:
Project Solutions Inc. is seeking an Junior Project Manager/Project Engineer for a project with the General Services Administration (GSA). The GSA is looking construction management services for two Forward Operating Laboratory projects supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). One building will include the replacement of ~630 SF of storage space within the 12,915 SF Main Building (built 2009) with a new forward operating laboratory. The second will entail a replacement of ~764 SF of agricultural lab space within the 77,337 SF Headhouse and Secondary Buildings (built 2018) with a new forward operating laboratory.
The projects are located at two of the busiest U.S.-Mexico border crossings. Scope includes management of design, construction, and post-construction services, with anticipated involvement of fire/life safety, audio-visual, electronic security systems, and millwork.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Reads, interprets, and understands the construction contract plans and specifications.
Reviews drawings as design reviewers and changes to contract documents.
Assists the government in providing direction and control of design and construction phase activities.

Position Description:

The GSA is looking construction management services for two Forward Operating Laboratory projects supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). One building will include the replacement of ~630 SF of storage space within the 12,915 SF Main Building (built 2009) with a new forward operating laboratory. The second will entail a replacement of ~764 SF of agricultural lab space within the 77,337 SF Headhouse and Secondary Buildings (built 2018) with a new forward operating laboratory.
The projects are located at two of the busiest U.S.-Mexico border crossings. Scope includes management of design, construction, and post-construction services, with anticipated involvement of fire/life safety, audio-visual, electronic security systems, and millwork.
This role is contingent upon award of project.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Reads, interprets, and understands the construction contract plans and specifications.
Reviews drawings as design reviewers and changes to contract documents.
Assists the government in providing direction and control of design and construction phase activities.
Advise GSA with sound management advice regarding all services to be performed.
Take all reasonable measures to anticipate problems and delays to minimize or eliminate their adverse impact to the project schedule, budget, and approved design.
Manages the inspections of physical work performance and installations of materials/components.

The projects are located at two of the busiest U.S.-Mexico border crossings. Scope includes management of design, construction, and post-construction services, with anticipated involvement of fire/life safety, audio-visual, electronic security systems, and millwork.
This role is contingent upon award of project.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Reads, interprets, and understands the construction contract plans and specifications.
Reviews drawings as design reviewers and changes to contract documents.
Assists the government in providing direction and control of design and construction phase activities.
Advise GSA with sound management advice regarding all services to be performed.
Take all reasonable measures to anticipate problems and delays to minimize or eliminate their adverse impact to the project schedule, budget, and approved design.
Manages the inspections of physical work performance and installations of materials/components.
Ensures quality and safety standards are met.
Coordinate and direct commissioning activities with clear protocols, centralized documentation, regular communication, and alignment with the master project schedule.
Monitor system operations through trend logs and data analysis, ensuring deficiencies are corrected and performance is validated prior to occupancy.
Maintain master logs and progress reports, document commissioning results, and verify equipment warranties, training, and O&M manuals.
Develop and control budgets and funding strategies.
Schedule and coordinate of project interactions among existing and occupied facilities.
Reviews pay applications.
Develop and controls budgets and funding strategies.
Maintains effective communication with project stakeholders and facilitates meetings.
Understand and fully comply with the principles of Federal contracting, including contract administration in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the General Services Administration Acquisition Manual (GSAM), and Public Buildings Services acquisition policy.

Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of architecture, engineering, and/or construction.
