If you have a background working with Transmission Electron Microscopes, Scanning Electron Microscopes, and/or Dual Beam/Focused Ion Beam Technology and are familiar in one of those scientific areas - we are looking for you: Semiconductor (Metrology and Failure Analysis) How you will make an impact: The Field Applications Engineer is the technical professional responsible for enabling our industry customers in the integration of our tools into their processes supporting the development and production of semiconductors and related technologies. What you will do: Provide on-site professional technical support, primarily in North America. Develop innovative solutions to customer challenges. Support tool acceptance and new technologies on location and in coordination with the product and service teams. Develop positive relationships with our customers as the technical partner for solving their challenges, explaining our technology, and assisting with application development. Coordinate closely with internal product, engineering, marketing and account teams on product acceptance and development. Provide detailed technical feedback to the product teams on customer needs and product performance in the field. How will you get here: This position is ideal for a creative and dynamic technologist with a focus on innovation and customer happiness. The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience: Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred. Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Dual Beam, focused ion beam scanning and electron microscopy (FIB/SEM), or Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). Understanding of semiconductor processing, statistical process control, device physics, and failure analysis techniques Experience with coding or scripting (C#, Python, MATLAB, etc.) is a plus. Excellent, clear communication skills and the ability to nurture positive, productive relationships with customers. Excellent problem-analysis and solving skills Metrology experience within the semiconductor industry preferred Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (up to 40%) and possession of a valid passport. Summary: Position will be responsible for generating revenue through the solicitation and acquisition of orders in the West Region territory. Required Skills/Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar. * Minimum 3 years displayed experience in providing technical customer Support. * At least 3 years of direct industry experience with the sale of electronic components for medical devices or industrial markets. * Up to 40% travel is needed, so must have the ability to travel to meet business objectives both domestically and sometimes internationally. * Must have excellent communication skills and be a structured, self-motivated person. * Position is fully remote; qualified candidates will reside in CA (preferred), AZ, or NV.
