A Lead Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and replacement of vehicle tires. They play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of various types of vehicles by providing expert services. This position involves inspecting tires for signs of wear, damage, and improper alignment, as well as performing necessary repairs or tire replacements. Service Technicians also advise customers on proper tire maintenance and selection based on their specific vehicle needs. As a Lead Service Technician, you must be confident and capable of performing retail tire services, oil changes preventative maintenance, and Under Car Mechanical. As a lead, this role will be expected to coach, train, and mentor other Service Technicians in their duties. RESPONSIBILITIES to include, but are not limited to: Mounting and dismounting tires on vehicles. Balancing tires to ensure proper weight distribution. Identifying and repairing punctures or other damage to tires. Patching or plugging tires as necessary. Conducting visual inspections of the vehicle for signs of wear or damage. Understanding of basic car components. (Suspension, brakes, Steering, wiper blades, dash lights, Head/Tail Lights, etc.) Evaluating vehicle or trailer and lift using proper equipment in accordance to safety protocols. Rotating tires at regular intervals to promote even tread wear. Checking and adjusting tire pressure to the recommended levels. Tire sizing, brands, tread design, bead types, features & benefits Wheel bolt patterns, lug nut styles and thread pitches, wheel lip styles, TPMS styles, reverse mount, proper clamping Tube sizing, valve stem styles, rubber compounds Interacting with customers to understand their tire needs and providing recommendations. Proper greeting and phone etiquette. Understanding of store product inventory, receiving product, and locating product. Maintaining and calibrating equipment, such as tire changers and balancers. Inspecting tires for defects and ensuring they meet safety standards. Maintaining records of tire installations, repairs, and other services performed. Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries. Draining old engine oil from vehicles. Removing and replacing oil filters. Checking and topping off other fluids, such as transmission fluid, brake fluid, and coolant. Using proper equipment to flush fluids such as, coolant, brake, & transmission. Applying lubricants to various vehicle components as needed. Inspecting and Replacing air filters, cabin air filters, and fuel filters as needed. Replacing or repairing brake components such as brake pads, rotors, calipers, master cylinders and brake lines. Conducting tests to ensure proper brake function and making necessary adjustments. Checking and inspecting wheel bearings for wear and tear. Replacing or repairing worn or damaged suspension/steering parts, such as ball joints, tie rods, shocks, struts, springs and bushings. Performing visual inspections to identify signs of misalignment, such as uneven tire wear, bent or broken parts, & measuring worn parts tolerances. Operating computerized wheel alignment equipment to measure and adjust wheel angles, including camber, caster, and toe.     What does a Sr. Field Service Technician do?Visit customers in assigned geography to diagnose and repair moderate to highly complex Coca-Cola beverage equipment provided to customers for resale of Coca-Cola products. Equipment includes fountain beverage dispensers, coolers, vendors, payment systems and ancillary equipment. Visits (service orders) are generally scheduled through assigned dispatcher but can be technician generated proactively. Job Details: Schedule: Until the (5-7 month) training is complete, the shift will be Mon.- Fri. 8:00am - 5pm. Once trained (5-7 months), the shift will be Tues. - Sat. and on call every Sat. evening. (40 hours per week plus overtime for on call time). Pay: $26.13/HR Job Level: 3 Responsibilities: Diagnose multiple types of complex fountain machine equipment ( e.g. B.E.S.T., Freestyle Series, ABS, Remote Refrigeration, Water Filtration, Hot Beverage, Juice Machine) and other beverage equipment to determine work, parts, and materials needed and make required repairs. Move or remove equipment as required. Travel to and from customer locations in assigned area. Effective and appropriate interaction with customers, management, and associates. Upon completion of service call, clean and sanitize equipment, clean work area. By use of handheld device; document travel, labor, and materials (parts and supplies) use for each activity. Correctly check in and out equipment and materials (parts and supplies). Maintain accurate parts inventory ($30-$35K est. value). Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle. Attend meetings as assigned Assist with special projects and events as assigned Assist other associates as assigned Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: High School Diploma (or GED) required CFC refrigeration experience upon hire preferred 2-4 years experience in diagnosis & repair of consumer or commercial appliances required 1-2 years beverage service technician (EFC, fountain install, bottle/can reactive) experience preferred Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in SAP CONA, Microsoft Outlook, and PDF reader on an iPhone and/or iPad type device Must be at least 21 years of age Must have a valid driver's license Driving record must meet Swire's vehicle policy requirements Ability to work weekends and holidays as assigned Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Positive attitude Ability to work with others Ability to complete B.E.S.T., Freestyle Series, ABS, Remote Refrigeration, Water Filtration, Hot Beverage Juice Machine, and Fundamental Skills certifications certification within first year Ability to complete equipment manufacturing and company training within 180 days of hire

Caterpillar experience preferred. * Prior experience in troubleshooting methods and systems required. * Must own required tools. * Must have a current CDL with air brake experience and acceptable driving record. Must meet DOT requirements. * Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English). PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS: * Must be able to stand for long periods of time along with walking, sitting, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting. * Able to lift up to 50 lbs in accordance with Western States' Lifting Safe Work Practice to include amount and approach. * Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
