Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Master Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting new machine installations and relocations, rebuilds, retrofits and integrations into existing product lines with Alliance equipment.
Responsibilities:
Perform troubleshooting, electrical/control work, system audits, preventative maintenance, system training, equipment interfacing and customer support functions on Alliance equipment installed within customers' manufacturing facilities.
Lead UltraPal, RaptorPal, Raptor XR, Raptor 4x2, and Accustak equipment installation teams from cradle to grave.
Train other team members on proper procedures for performing operator and maintenance training functions.
Perform intermediate controls level calibration, ring out and commissioning functions.
Apply in-depth knowledge with Variable Frequency Drives, PLCs and machine language to include reading ladder logic, uploading and downloading programs to PLCs and HMIs, and monitor inputs and outputs in programs.
Perform software programming under guidance of engineering, including knowledge of Allen Bradley software, KEBCO Combivis 5/6 and Siemens software, and Ewon software.
Perform robotic calibration with engineering support, including understanding of control system networks especially Industrial Ethernet.
Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and utilize Legacy Control Systems.
Troubleshoot ALF MAX Beckoff Computers and Siemens Soft PLCs.
Ability to remote connect to Alliance equipment using VPN's, EWON's, and Siemens S615's.
Required Education and Experience:
Requires a Bachelor's degree (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline), or foreign degree equivalent.
8 years of technical work experience with automated equipment, electrical technologies, repair and troubleshooting.
1 year of experience with each of the following: Allen Bradley software; Siemens Software; KEBCO Combivis 5/6 Software; and uploading and downloading programs to PLCs and HMIs.
Position allows for telecommuting from anywhere in the continental U.S. Will be required to report to the offices in Spokane, Washington when not assigned to a specific jobsite or project.
Position requires up to 35% domestic travel and up to 65% international travel, to visit customer facilities to install, relocate, rebuild, retrofit and integrate existing product lines with Alliance equipment.

PURPOSE
The primary purpose of the position is to provide direct on-site emergency service, preventive maintenance and installation support to end user customers while ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. The position is also responsible for assisting in reaching Service Zone Revenue targets with work group sales responsibilities ranging from 1 to 2 MM dollars and to communicate product sales opportunities to Sales and Applications team's members as needed. Willingness to acquire and use sales skills is a must. Difficulties include extensive travel (50000 to 75000 driving miles per year), working with contaminated products, exposure to X-rays and Magnetic fields, sick patients and the need to lift heavy equipment (over 50lbs). Typical work week approaches 50 hrs and on-call duty as needed by Zone Service manager.
The span of coverage will be Spokane, WA , west including the northern half of Idaho and all of Montana. Travel up to 75% within the territory. The candidate is preferred to reside in the Spokane, WA metro area as that is the center of the territory. The Candidate must be domiciled within the territory.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and installation at end user customer sites using approved Bayer documentation;
Schedule and organize own work activities, ensure efficient operations;
Organize and re-order inventory valued at $20K to ensure quality work and low incident of defective or incomplete on-site customer visits;
Responsible for proper return of all defective inventory for replenishment;
Price service calls, offering discounts or converting to full contracts when needed;
Prepare and develop sales quotes and follows through to close the sale;
Call end-user customers, purchasing agents and Bayer dealers to finalize and ask for the order;
Interface heavily with Service Admin/MSRC billing processors to ensure proper & timely invoicing;
Responsible to assist in collection activities in given territory;
In some cases, generate customer interest and communicate to Service Marketing Rep.
Generate and communicate sales leads to respective sales rep for new product or disposable opportunities;
Maintain company car and tools in good working order valued at $35- $45K;
Ensure oil changes, tire rotation, etc.;
Ensure all proprietary info is safe guarded from non-Bayer personnel, including: Service & Training Manuals, Diagnostic and Calibration software, BIT keys etc.;
Assist in on the job training and mentoring for new hires;
Serve as a role model example to new hires for delivering 100% customer satisfaction, technical excellence, & outstanding financial results;
Be utilized to help resolve difficult/intermittent technical problems;

Educate customers about mandated requirements for inspection criteria on overhead cranes.
Maintain your own schedule of crane inspections and service with a Corporate Calendar and dispatch yourself as needed to fulfill customer needs.
Complete paperwork and time cards accurately so that we maintain compliance with our AS9100 and ISO requirements.
Be willing to study for and pass the Crane Tech Certified Overhead Crane Inspector exam
