Requirements:

The Role:

SCADA and MET Assembly
Assembly/build of SCADA racks and MET Stations

Stacking and setting up devices on the rack or MET station as needed
Configuring network and instrumentation devices based on provided design and configuration requirements
Read and understand network device manual for device set up and configuration
Factory Acceptance Testing
Set up FAT environment for customers and Terabase's engineering teams to conduct the FAT for the equipment.
Generate documentation related to the equipment assemblies and testing outcomes.
Support with troubleshooting of network issues and device connectivity issues. A knowledge of Putty and Wireshark is a plus.
On-Site commissioning and warranty support
Travel to sites in different locations of the US to complete pre-commissioning and commissioning activities or warranty support activities, including but not limited to:
Powering up SCADA, MET station and field network equipment
Support establishing remote connectivity to the site
Inspecting installations and completing pre-commissioning and commissioning documentation
Troubleshoot device and network communications issues

POSITION SUMMARY
As an Automotive ServiceTechnician for Big O Tires, you will perform service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner.

Overview:
Skilled in fiber optic splicing with an understanding in engineering and splicing drawings, the fiber splicer will perform tasks associated with the construction/upgrade of fiber systems. Responsibilities:
Performs splicing of fiber optic cables, both fusion, mass fusion and mechanical, to include terminating various types of connectors.
Constructs proper splicing in fiber enclosures and fiber termination panels to include grounding, bonding, isolation, storage and sealing in both aerial and underground applications.
Plans and installs fiber distribution panels, relay racks or cabinets with all associated hardware and electronics in a head end or OTN site.
Executes large fiber count ring cuts/hot cuts during scheduled maintenance windows with minimum downtime to the network or customer services.
Performs fiber audits to identify the physical characteristics of existing fiber plant from fiber matings, terminations, colors to splices and network elements while documenting and updating records.
Performs testing utilizing OTDR's, Power Meter/Light Sources, OLTS and VFLs; interprets and analyzes data; identifies and troubleshoots problems.
Reads, creates, and maintains accurate splicing schematics, records, and diagrams.
Performs aerial construction activities, including but not limited to, installing aerial fiber, installing fiber storage (snowshoes), completing pole transfers, and performing necessary clean-up work.

We are seeking a Fiber Splicer to join our team in Fairfield, CA. In this role you will complete installation, repair and testing of fiber and the different components, splice loose tube and ribbon fiber in compliance with modern standards and connect and configure fiber optic networks for facilities while troubleshooting problems.

The Role
Complete installation, repairs and testing of fiber and the different components
Splice loose tube and ribbon fiber in compliance with modern standards
Connect and configure fiber optic networks for facilities while troubleshooting problems
Read splicing print and apply color code to print reading
Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation
Basic daily maintenance of TAK provided vehicle: check fluids, clean and organize vehicle
Ongoing monitoring to ensure that splicing operations are completed according to customer and industry specifications
Safely operate and use a bucket truck to complete daily construction assignments, and pull the fiber trailer as needed
Complete daily production reports, mark-up maps, keep track of work hours, complete "as-built maps" for areas built and tracks daily production
Reconcile all issued parts and materials daily to ensure accurate material usage counts
Frequently works with minimal or no supervision
Perform general clean up
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
3+ years of fiber splicing experience required
Ability to use and understand splicing technology such as OTDRs, VFL, OLTS and Fusion Splice
Prior experience with CWDM and DWDM, prepping & splicing from 6ct to 288ct or more
Ability to work outside of business hours when needed, overtime, holidays, evenings, weekends etc., in all seasons
Ability to safely operate a vehicle while pulling a trailer
Ability to complete tasks with small components and wires
Ability to judge distance and space relationships
Ability to interpret splicing print and distinguish/apply color code to print reading
Ability to use specialty tools
Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder (approximately 28 feet high and 75 pounds)
Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time
Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and tools
A body weight of no more than 275 pounds to perform ladder work safely. **Safety is our #1 Priority. If personal safety is not compromised, an accommodation may be available based on previous ladder experience in a similar role**
Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver's license is required if the role involves driving
Class A CDL preferred
