The Renovations Technician I is responsible for carrying out a wide range of renovation tasks within the organization. This role involves assisting in renovation projects and repairs and ensuring that work is completed to high standards of quality and safety. Essential Duties and Functions
Perform and assist on various renovation tasks, including carpentry, drywall installation, painting, flooring, and plumbing. Handle repairs as required.
Provide necessary updates to the Director of Renovations or Renovations Technician III regarding project progress, issues encountered, and completion status.
Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and communicates any changes made during the renovation process.
Ensures work performed complies with local building codes, regulations, and meets WEL community standards.
Ensures materials, tools, and equipment are used as designed. Ensure that all resources are used efficiently, and that waste is minimized.
Follow safety protocols and practices on renovation sites.
Qualifications:
Qualifications include:
Minimum 1-3 years' experience in renovations team or construction crew. Preferably in a health care setting.
Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Knowledge of SDS and other OSHA regulations.
Ability to read working drawings.
Proficient in at least one renovation technique, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and fire protection.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licensure/Certification:
OSHA 10-hour certification.
Language Skills:

Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

What You Will Do
Travel to customer sites from your home office to perform preventative maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of a wide variety of our manufactured electrical and mechanical equipment. This equipment includes, but is not limited to pumps, motors, variable frequency drives (VFD), positioners, valves, actuators, transmitters, combustion equipment, emissions monitoring equipment, digital recorders, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
Commission, troubleshoot, and alter different types of PLC's (mainly Allen Bradley and GE) proportional-integral-derivative (PID) loop controllers, VFD's, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), and other control devices.
Be on call for customer service as required.

* Complete mechanical work and repairs on electrical power apparatus, including but not limited to circuit breakers, transformers, motor control, switchgear and other related apparatus or components
* Performs wiring in switchgear and on breakers as required
* Utilizes and accurately reads meters
* Controls troubleshooting and basic repair of equipment
* Reads and interprets schematics and wiring diagrams
* Accurately and consistently documents test results using Power DB
Qualifications
* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
* Experience working with hands demonstrating a mechanical aptitude preferred
* Reference and complete assignments as described in applicable specifications
* Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors
* Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, management ability
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
* Valid Driver's license and good driving record
* Ability to communicate effectively in English (inclusive of reading and writing) due to the nature of safety-related materials, documentation, and interactions with clients
