What you'll do
As a member of our team, you will service commercial garage doors, weld and fabricate, and contribute to the general service and repairs for a variety of projects.
The day-to-day
Install, service, and repair a variety of commercial access systems, including garage doors, operators, gate operators, rolling steel doors, high-speed doors, dock levelers, commercial fencing, and related components.
You will successfully identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services.
Employees will be responsible for tracking and maintaining job related paperwork and submitting in a timely manner.
Install quality products and provide professional services.
Always operate in safety conscious manner while performing job duties.
Participate in on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service

Job Qualifications:

Five or more years of successful and full-time HVACR experience, either as a residential service or residential installation technician.
Good oral and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply manufacturers' instructions and to clearly communicate with residential customers, suppliers, and all Great Lakes Team members.
Physical ability to perform all duties noted above under the conditions, circumstances and extreme weather found in Indiana.
Interest and initiative in maintaining and advancing his/her HVACR skills through a combination of self-study, company training, manufacturers' workshops, and other professional development activities.
Current Indiana operator's license and the ability to operate all vehicles in the corporate fleet within 30 days of initial employment. Incumbent must be insurable by current Great Lakes' insurance carrier

Job Details:
This is a 1099/per call position
Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Team Manager, the incumbent will respond to electrical trouble calls on production/process equipment and utility breakdown. This will include diagnosing, repairing and testing industrial equipment including power service, motor starters, high/low voltage electrical systems PLC's controls, HMI's Networks (ethernet I/P, DeviceNet, DH+ etc.) and electrical field devices (photo eyes, proxes, encoders, limit switches etc.)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Include diagnosing, repairing and testing industrial equipment including power service, motor starters, high/low voltage electrical systems PLC's controls, HMI's Networks (ethernet I/P, DeviceNet, DH+ etc.) and electrical field devices (photo eyes, proxes, encoders, limit switches etc.)
* Utilize standard electrical test equipment to perform equipment test using established procedures and write,
* Update and clarify test procedures
* Helps train others to conduct these tests properly
* Performing preventive maintenance and general maintenance as required on both production equipment and facilities equipment,
* Completing assigned work orders and documenting all tests; i.e., oscilloscope, DMM, Recorder, Meggar, etc,
* Troubleshooting and identify root cause as well as to recommend improvements on a continuous basis with cross functional teams in a High Performance Organization environment
* Working with outside contractors on miscellaneous installations when needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* AA degree in Industrial Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology or completion of an approved apprenticeship in industrial electrical maintenance or 5-7 years direct applicable experience
* Three to Five years of plant maintenance experience
* Be able to develop control logic including prints and installation of control wiring and troubleshoot PLC/Solid State control instruments

Job Details:
This is a 1099/per call position
Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.
