Job Description
Adesta, an Allied Universal Company, is looking for a Union Fiber Splicer that will be responsible for performing fiber splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and other various construction activities.
Pay Range: $48.44/hr-$62.10/hr
What to expect as a Union Fiber Splicer at Adesta:
Splice optical fiber using both single fiber and ribbon fusion splicing
Build various types of fiber optic splice enclosures. (Raychem, Coyote, 3M, etc.)
Install, trouble-shoot, splice, mid-sheath and repair Fiber Optic Cable
Interface with customers to assess, identify, correct, repair, and test connections
Test Fiber Optic Cable using a Power Meter and optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) as well as having the ability to rad OTDR traces to identify events and loss
Aerial experience of dressing, lashing, and “snow shoeing” Fiber Optic Cable
What skills and experience are required:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
3+ years of Splicing experience
Technical training or experience is a plus
Must possess a valid driver's license

Field Service Technician Job 30 miles from Hammond
About the Role:
The Senior Field Service Engineer is responsible for 2nd level client support and services. This position works closely with other IT departments for incident and problem resolution, and service request fulfillment within agreed service level. The senior FSE will have more in depth technical experience than the FSE and is likely to take the lead in more complex troubleshooting and provides backup to the supervisor. Tasks include:
Maintain applications on end user devices: install/uninstall, troubleshoot, data recovery and maintain applications, products and equipment.
Maintain the estate of end user devices: Identify, analyze and repair equipment failures. Order and replace parts/material as needed.
Maintain other equipment including printers, scanners, warehouse equipment such as RDTs, etc.
Be the local hands and eyes for network and server equipment based locally.
Determine, recommend and test which products or software best suit our customers' needs.
Provides training guidance to end-users, ensuring delivery of high quality and proactive support.
Escalate incidents to next level support when the solution is unknown or cannot be solved within defined time frames.
What You'll Do:
Provide first and second level support for incidents and service requests to business colleagues. (50%)
Leads problem resolution of more complex incidents and problems. (20%)
Take part in Technology projects as required, either as the local IT colleague or as part of a wider global endeavor. (10%)
